He's not pretentious. He hired a small orchestra to play the Bach concertos the way he feels and hears them. He did an album (very good, I have it) and he is just like a conductor with his orchestra, asking them to play exactly how he hears it. Just that. And he understand Bach like no others in my opinion 🙂
