You can hear in his voice on his sons video just before he killed them that something was wrong, I mean listen to how he was saying his dogs name, He said it like he was saying the dogs name to make it seem like he was genuinely looking for the dog but was preparing for what he's about to do.

Sometimes it is also the wife's solution. One explanation may be that divorce may mean financial losses they don't want to incur. Another explanation may be that they hate too much to accept a solution that does not include spilling the other's blood. There is a third explanation, perhaps, which is, they really believe in "till death do us part".
If some day the churches change the formula to "till divorce do us part", perhaps things will change.

These types of individuals are selfish, impulsive, and irrational giving way for their emotions to control them. They don't seem to fully think things through and realize there are consequences for their actions. Some think they're smart enough to get away with it which shows their lack of real intelligence and common sense. This applies as well to the murderers who are articulate and educated.

Diminished returns, the more you're exposed to something the less satisfied you are. So people that can get or do anything at the drop of a hat need more and more to feel excitement or enjoy anything. Then once you've done and have it all your just left with a feeling of disappointment and frustration. It's why money can't actually buy sustainable happiness. It can make you feel secure, it can buy you toys but how long until you're board of those?

@@mom.left.me.at.michaels9951 Just a question: so how does this explain why 'allegedly' people with less money are 'satisfied'? I mean, what is the fundamental difference? At which point in the accumulation of things or doing activities, does this change for any given person? I hope my question makes sense. I think some people with wealth are just as happy as some people without it. In the Murdaugh case, I think they enjoyed their wealth and family life and ties as much as anybody else. Clout they may have pursued, but I think wealth just came naturally for them. P.S. Did anyone try and buy you at Michaels? lol.

Great episode. But I am surprised you left out one of the most compelling pieces of evidence, which was the way Creighton closed the case against Alex.
In Alex’s interviews, when he walked through the timeline of the night of the murders, he describes checking the bodies and then says he called 911.
But his car’s data indicated the time he came to a stop at the kennels. And comparing this time with the time of his 911 call, it was clear that there was no time to check the bodies before calling 911. (The logical inference is that as soon as he pulled up, he called 911 because he already knew they were dead, given that he shot them before racing to his Mother’s.)
Alex tried to reinterpret his responses in the interviews, but it was futile. He was caught in yet another lie.

Keep your chin up, stay in counselling so you have someone to talk to (friends may tire of it). Be careful if your son does not eventually get counselling on his own. Watch your back and finances. I don't know how long you stayed with your ex but the longer you did, your son probably sub-consciously or not sees that as 'well it couldn't have been that bad' or a betrayal on your part for staying in the relationship where abuse went on. Regardless, you did the best you could with the situation and resources you had at any given time, so there is nothing left to do except 'let go' with help in counselling. It is the only way. I feel sad you have to have this pain b/c I know it is wrenching and I hope you find enough peace that it is not on your mind daily. Just be careful. Make new friends. god speed.

How they desperately hoped the girl was still alive, while Paul just laughed and mocked the boyfriend of the victim. Lifetime or HBO couldn’t have written a more vile or “true crime” series or movie. That’s how unbelievable this case was. Straight out of Hollywood in the backroads of a small community. It’s truly heartbreaking about the lives lost, including Paul and Maggie. Mallory Beach, Stephen Smith, and Gloria Saterfield. I remember every name because they deserve the light to shine on their stories so something like this CANNOT be commited by another man or woman ever again. It’s truly a modern crime-turned-tragedy.

@@MotionSustained If I am confused, it is not your job to judge me. What you have to do is to clarify things for me, give me explanations, offer me direction. Perhaps you can do that here. My question is simple.
Why doesn't free will ever work in reference to the victims, but only in reference to the victimisers? Put another way.
Why does the victimiser have free will to choose between killing or not killing, but the victims never have free will (the power) to choose between being or not being killed?
A criminal breaks into your house while you and your family are sleeping. He kills all of you in your sleep. The intruder had a God-given ability to choose between breaking into your house or not, between killing you or letting you live. But what about you? What degree of free will did you have so that you could choose between being and not being killed?
Let's imagine an even more grotesque situation - and it has in fact happened many times. A psychopath rapes and kills a 6-year old girl. According to your view, God gave that psychopath the ability to choose between raping and killing or not raping and killing that innocent girl. But what about the girl? What degree of free will did God give her so that she could choose between being and not being raped and killed?
Do you see the problem? Perhaps you can explain that to me.
By the way, Ecaterina-ih5qb seems completely unable to engage in this type of discussion. She sounds like a religious fanatic. Perhaps you are in a better situation.
