Your Dad is lucky he has you to give him a hand to get the yard cleaned up. Its nice you have the time too as you are usually busy doing your own work. You'll have to borrow dads new loader to use in your yard. LOL. It looks nice.

Holy potato, what a lot of cars in that yard. You'll be busy with that for a while before it's all made into scrap metal. I enjoyed your video, as I always do, Silas. I wish you a very happy camping trip with all you'll be doing there, and hopefully you'll have some better weather. I look forward to your next video. 😎👍

I always enjoy when you crush an old item on top of a new car. Like the piano and Volvo, how it almost folded the car in half before it started to crush. Same thing with the drill wheels. Man they made stuff tough back in the day!🤘

I’m 42 and grew up about a mile from your dad’s yard on 11th. For as long as I can remember, there has been a literal MOUNTAIN of cars there. When I was younger, I always wondered how the top couple layers of car even made it up as high as they are.

On those hydraulic shocks on the topper- I use an aluminum Tent pole that will fit over the end of the shock when you un- clip it and slide it onto the shaft, cut to the shaft length and it holds it up. When closed it slides over the shock body.

Regarding the last few moments of this video: "Shock Hack" when it won't keep your rear window open (hood, etc): Just bend the shaft a little. It'll cause enough friction then the shock will perform its job. It's temporary, but you won't need your vice grips to hold it up.

I absolutely love watching those style birds and camaros get crushed my only regret a guy brought 1 in looking sharp with an engine knock I didn't even lift the hood it was older a 79 and he swore it was a smokey and the bandit special edition looked garage kept said he'd bring the title the next week after almost a year thinking he wasn't lying and it was I'd come out way ahead I bought it when prices tanked in early 00s I got sick of looking at it prices were way up so I put it in my road pulled the wheels and ran that thing over with the D7G dozer we were pushing up trees with as we plucked them and smoothed the loader ruts in the roads a friend of mine videoed it ill have to see if he still has it or posted it and share it here a couple months later I got the title in the mail I should've ran the VIN or checked the glovebox codes the man wasn't lying I thought it was a clone and I was just sick of not having that corner of my shop I thought he was trying to get more money from me so I gave him what I'd get that day for it and rode out the cash for clunkers price drop that also gave me time to turn alot of antique tractors and farm equipment into prepared iron and a giant cast iron pile since we weren't selling iron at the time but kept selling parts and getting vehicles with good bodys running if it was simple engine or trans swap and setting them out front for sale we still do a little of that but mainly set aside something we want to tinker on as a personal project unless someone wants it really bad I've crushed tons of Z28s irocs all forms of those beasts even minimal rust 67-69 rollers up to present day I've sold 1 hatch with glass and 1 t-top I've had derby guys borrow seats till they broke but they always bring the cars back heavier than they bought them at so a few of my derby friends I just loan them a junker it always comes back with cages I can chop out quick engine and trans pulled all I have to do is zip a few bolts trans to breakage engine in the front seat and finish making a 70s boat into a midsized pancake they come back short
