    I love mine...I can't live without the pen functionality, it's been extremely useful for school. I just wished I got the better screen (1440p WQHD). I had the same exact issue with mine not turning on but it seemed to solve itself without me having to hit the static discharge button.

    thank you, i needed a long-term usage review like this, only time will tell how well whatever performs and persevere;
    i do think you were a bit harsh on the fingerprint scanner, give it another chance to see how it improves, will you?
    about the flexible nature of its design, unlike you, i definitely will use it in tablet mode a lot, both horiz and vertical orientations; but yeah, good to find out from now you would prefer the lighter weight of the carbon series;
    great review👍🏻

    I bought this in Sept 2018 with all the high end options. I still love it.
    I need to replace the internal battery.
    How do I do that?

      I hope this worked out for you, but in case you didn't get to it...
      ifixit has guides and parts, and the thinkpad website probably has instructions too, but you can search youtube for "lenovo yoga battery replacement"

    Is it a Good buy in 2024? I am thinking between this and ThinkPad T480, both used? I would however have use for the Stylus for highlighting and writing on PDFs and books.. What would you suggest?
    Also how much battery backup does it give you?
    PLEASE DO REPLY. Thanks ❤

      I just bought mine this month, July 2024. I can say, I am satisfied overall with its performance. Though it's too early for me to say so. But my previous one, T460s, is still running well. I can't complain with this one. The battery, isn't that great anymore considering the other new releases. I only charge it to 80% and currently 80% battery health. It can only last for about 4 hours, full brightness. Probably can go 6 hours if battery is preserved and probably 8 hours if from 100% and only doing some light work. I came from T460s, since you are considering T480 or X1 yoga gen 3. apart from the obvious touch screen and stylus, I high suggest you think about the "wave keyboard" in X1 Yoga gen 3, it adds stiffness to the hinge when opening. For now, I can say I'm surely keeping my X1 yoga gen 3.

    Dude, buy a 1tb nvme drive and a cheap usb nvme enclosure, then clone your drive, then open up the bottom and swap 'em. That's what I did. By the way I can't say that I love this laptop. The keyboard is very bad for a Thinkpad, more fitting for an Acer. I have to throttle the CPU because it wants to march to 98 degrees.

      This comment is hilarious, because a week before you wrote it the drive in this laptop failed. Poof! Good thing it was backed up.... And yes, the heart of the laptop does like it hot.
