There are a lot of savvy people here disrespecting this great video, was not applying a total Swedish massage she was doing an overall explanations of a shair massage and it was correctly done.
I can't find where I asked, but on another video you explained Trager was what to request. It took some searching, but found a therapist who offers it. I go literally every other week now, and send anyone who will listen. Thanks for the pointer.
I used to watch all of her videos back in 2011
Thank you Ms. Salvo for giving your understanding through this video, it has helped me become a greater Massage Therapist practicing seated massage. May Comfort and joy be multiple for you as you manifest it for others.
This chair is really effective. I bought it too :)
Yay! A new Susan Salvo video!
Absolutely wonderful intro video of basic chair massage techniques! A little different from her previous video on the LAmassageschool channel - both are worth watching - whether for a review or by a new learner.
With all due respect, Susan Salvo- you are a brilliant practician. Your techniques are wonderful and they pack alot of focus in small amounts of time, indeed. But there was one part of the video where you actually lowered the face cradle with the client's head still resting in it? All I could do was grit my teeth; just waiting for the jerky movement of the cradle because of the weight of her head resting in it. Please don't get me wrong- I have referred to many of your videos for ideas and refreshers. This past just seemed a bit abrasive.
Thank you for sharing your expertise; Happy New Year to each and everyone!
As someone who is hyper-sensitive to touch, I've learned you have to be VERY specific with what you want, and don't want, when seeking a massage. I wouldn't last 2 seconds with a massage like this, however, some people prefer it. To each their own. (I'm off to add the word "gentle" in my search string lol)
A good LMT should have an intake form for exactly those concerns. Where are the problem areas? What areas are off limits? What are your goals? What is your pressure preference? And always watch body cues and reactions to make sure the client is comfortable.
And that is coming from massage school text written by this woman.
@@wendeboyd503 She’s one of my teachers at the moment and she actually is very careful to maintain communication with “clients” (the students she demonstrates on when showing us techniques) :)
Very nice illustration and explanation for each move. Thank you!
Very Good Massage 💆♂️
Nice video 👍😍😀
Great video
I appreciate your videos! I love getting new ideas from you! Thank You!
She fit in so many different moves in so little time...I wished I could move that fast lol
I've never seen anything like the comment sections of beauty treatment and massage videos for "smiling criticism."
She is going a little fast to show you all the techniques.
It's TMJ @0:37. It's a jaw ailment.
Intro music credit?
These moves look to fast and pokey. Slow down!

because youtube can be viewed all around the world....You're on it now and you're in the Netherlands, right?
Molly..... you in danger, girl.....
Well said Whoopi
@@jcampling1 his name is Patrick too🤔
Lmao
@EdwinRansijn
for a massage therapist you're being very rude and disrespectful.. it's very pathetic and unprofessional to talk against someone's massage just to promote your own.. people will chose what every they like.. I think this looks great.. and if you're good too your work will speak for itself.

Ouch!!!!!!
good golly Miss Molly!!!
Very good, But not the same as the other one.
If you had a client dealing with trauma, PTSD, or any type of nervous system disorder these techniques in the fashion that you are applying them may be too stimulating and disruptive to their processing. However some may really enjoy this type of work, but it is important to be aware and have the sensitivity to tune into your client's body. Less is more sometimes ;)
@ 0:37 I wasn't paying attention and it sounded like she said PB&J.
Slow down lady! It's not a competition 😄
Is she too rough? Or is just me?
+Dennise Thomas-Perez I do like it like this. Honestly. Not speaking bed stuff right now.
I like it
Great moves, but please use SLOWER speed and much gentler mobilizations. Those quick jerky movements would stress me out as a client, and are making her work harder as a therapist. While I understand jostling as a technique, she is moving so quickly that she's not deeply palpating and addressing adhesions or trigger points. Also no stretch (around minute 4) should be performed bouncing like that. Whoa.
+Arrow Spa and i would enjoy them. Each to their own.
Totally agree. Even just watching stressed me out. It cannot be pleasurable this way.
@@M-tl1imthe only way to decide whether it’s suitable is client’s feedback. If you’ve had a lot of clients you’ll understand that people are VERY different. Personally for me - this is without a doubt the best possible approach which nobody ever gives (I’m talking about myself as a client).
Good thing you aren’t paying for it huh?
looks like one of those thai massages which actually break your body instead of healing it oO
That is what she said
LOL, I know. Thanks. :O)
5:25 Metal Carpet Scissors???
It wouldn't look like you were trying to promote yourself if you didn't leave your massage information after your comment as if you want to redirect people.
shes on speed
Damn! She rough as hell, I would have gotten a headache
Pinching is painful
Aami masesx
Wow that's too hard!!!
Hallo Jackie, It's not my intention to be rude or disrespectfull, I just don't like this style. Most people on this channel seems to like the massage, that's allright, no problem. You're right, people will schose wat ever they like.I don't want to promote my own style at all. I just wanted to respons on the video and give my opinion. What's wrong with that?
Ooohhh, it looks quite violent. Almost like working on a puppet, not on a human body. Just techniques but no connection, no tuning into the body. Anyway, the client seems too enjoy this approach..
Kinda aggressive
OmG Stop Lady !!
No way, I just thought it would be nice to mention that I am a massagetherapist from the Netherlands. Why should I promote myself in the USA?
This doesn't look nice at all! Nopt my type of massage.
Edwin Ransijn, Massage in Beweging
I'm a massageteachter myself and I know that the massage can be effective, but only because of the contrast between the massages itself and the feeling after the massage. You can realy hear the silence after listening to Heavy Metal. Wow, how relaxing Heavy Metal can be! It also looks a lot like Tuina-massage. That also doesn't looks nice at all but can be very relaxing too. I'm very sorry, but I realy don't like this style.
