Like this level, the bet about if it requires a power up still had almost 2 minutes left. Clearly the answer is likely gonna be found before the bet timer runs out. And that's exactly what happened. His mods probably have to cancel so many bets. Just seems pointless. If you're gonna run a bet, let the chat bet first before continuing play.

Dave, I'm sure that you could definitely beat Battletoads legit if you wanted to put in the effort to try out individual stages (by emulator, most likely). For me, it made a big difference to find a couple 1up loops I could keep getting if I struggled to finish a part: there's one in level 8 and one in level 9. I would typically use warps from 3 to 5 and from 6 to 8. And stage 12 is a serious challenge but may also be one of the better-designed levels of the actual game.
It is because Chris edited it to show us on TH-cam the level without the level ID blocked off. During stream, level details are blocked off from view in order to stop stream snipers from stealing the first clear.
I feel like this would have great anti potential, maybe using keys or even red coins if the level designer felt devious… you would have to avoid power ups I guess, and in the door would be a poison mushroom, with a second one on a super long delay, maybe even incorporating a cp1 if you get the powerup
Gosh Dave kills me when he goes on tilt, like in the first level. Honestly shouldn’t have died any of the times he did after getting the clear condition the first time, he just gets tunnel vision and stops looking at both sides of the screen. It probably bothers me more because I do the same thing sometimes.
Squeaking and Thwomping wasn't uncleared. Also I miss the days when DGR had some urgency in these because chat could snipe the clear. I guess his ego couldn't take it.

In other words, he loads the level beforehand on stream to avoid stream snipers, then goes in and shows the level after clearing it during edditing
