My wife introduce me to Pastor Richard Owen Roberts. He, like Leonard Ravenhill are a throwback to old school preaching. He's the first for me to critique Charles Finney on the concept of revival. I agree with Pastor Roberts and I also agree with Finney. On one hand when we talk about revival, what we are talking about is the concentrated presence of God amongst His people. But, God's presence isn't always concentrated but yet always present. I believe we can also have a revival that is nurtured and cultivated as Finney pointed out, but this kind of revival is not necessary the concentrated presence of God amongst His people but His abiding presence working within His people. This kind of revival is a process of remaining in deep adoration and awe of God through the sacrament of prayer, fasting, reading and meditating on the Holy Writ, which brings about a deeper intimacy with God. Yet, I am always reminded of my finitude and natural proclivity towards brokeness, and perhaps I may have drifted far from the peaceful shore and completely unaware of my own apostate condition. Therefore, I keep an altar in my heart to repent and ask for the grace of revelation. As Pastor Roberts allude to, we should cry out for the concentrated presence of God, so that the heart of this country is turned back to God. '
You've met Paster Roberts! I would be honored to meet him. But I know things are not so easy. I want to get his books. Since listening to him I'm feeling so much better. I'm feeling I'm on the right path. I firmly believe God or the Holy Spirit or Jesus brought me to listen to him. One question Sir, I saw one of his books called Revival. On the book it stated $5.95 but Amazon is selling it for $100.00 how can that be? I so want to buy his books, best way for me to learn from him! A wonderful Preacher! Church never taught me about God, not really. I left the Chatholic Church when I found their was more bad than good. I'm a Christian, I was baptized as an adult, that is/was my church. But Paster Matt moved on to something bigger, working with children & families who need his help. I understand that. But feel left without the Paster who taught me & others. I guess I'm lost, and finding myself through Paster Richard. I need to know as much as possible about God I have a hunger to know Him, His words, I need God! 🙏 🙏
revival begins in us .. in our hearts / to those who deny truth no revival will occur so it is not one mans preaching responsible except ye be BORN AGAIN TRUTH PREVAILS ! to those who deny HE IS THE CHRIST ,, BECAUSE ONLY THE SPIRIT OF GOD CAN REVEAL HIM ,, we pray for all those who do so .. that YOUR EYES BE OPENED AND YOUR EARS TO HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT OF GOD IS SAYING TO THE CHURCH ...
I listen and I enjoy his sermons. They to me are Gospel based and Christ Centered but when I think of this nation's beginning I can't seem to skip over Christians participating in the atrocities of Slavery and what was done to the American Indian. I can't skip over the Slave Bible and the Pic Nic which was a cattered lynching held after church services. I know the abolitionist were primarily Christian however the more I learn our history I look at white Christians and I'm shocked. I can't imagine what God was thinking as he watched what America decided to do with its blessing and why they are so shocked at how America has gone down hill. What kind of revival do people expect America to participate when Christians are divided by race and White Zionism. White Supremacy is in competition with the Most High. What can come of America
To even question "what was God thinking" to me is a very very bad view and the devils territory. Perhaps you are caught up in the wrong ideas and opinions.. Slavery has been going on for generations long before an America was even considered. Man will always be sinful when rejecting obedience to God and His Word. Those same men have often appeared to be Christian or pretended to be the men and women of God. We can see it through the old testament and through all of history. Man is determined to have his own way without submission to the will of God and these are the results. I am Cherokee but I am not caught up in what happened to "my people" but rather trusting that God will work all things for my good as I live in obedience and love towards Him and His will for my life.
Sir with all due respect you may have studied the past revivals in great detail. However your knowledge has not brought about any meaningful revival. So why should I listen to you?
Did you even pay attention to what he said? Man cannot cause a revival to happen. This man is the godliest and wisest saint I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Who are you?
@@mustacheglasses5765 Sir I did pay attention to what he said. I have no problem with what he said. My question is sincere and I am hoping for an answer. Many Godly men speak about revival and why it tarries. Men far more knowledgeable and godly than me. Yet revival still tarries. I am wanting to know if there is something in me that i must change so that we can all see Revival. Thank you for your response. But I am a genuine seeker.
@@reksubbn3961 I apologize. I misunderstood your question. I have had this question. Mr. Ravenhill prayed for revival for decades while living in America and never saw revival. The answer is, I believe, that God has (obviously) the final say. That is to say, we make ourselves conducive to revival but He may still tarry. And who knows His reasons? I imagine they are countless and beyond us. Even so, He WILL answer His children when they cry out. And I am finding that if you pursue God in prayer as these men did, He will bless you... even if He tarries with His answer to your prayer for revival, you will at least experience His nearness personally. And there will also be a blessed effect upon those around you. Men such as Mr. Richard Owen Roberts, I believe, would tell you this. Wait upon the Lord. He WILL answer your prayer.
@@reksubbn3961 Also... perhaps God has not yet answered Mr. Roberts' prayer for revival because He was waiting to include you and me. Let us participate then!
@@mustacheglasses5765 Yes you are right. I was thinking the same thing myself. Our town in Victoria has just started combined churches prayer meetings. It appears to be gathering momentum in the surrounding towns.

I Love our God our Father! Read the Bible, the word of God! 🙏 It's all about God, and we as His children must do what God says, His word!
I know a real revival is coming soon from our blessed God 🙏🙏🙏

Philadelphia church was the revival church and now we are in Laodecia
In western countries, anyway. Doubt there are any Laodiceans in Noko.

Im pretty sure it's going to get a little rough before the rapture.
Will there be another conference? And if so, will Mr. Richard Owen Roberts be speaking or in attendance?
