Ale's bass can be the engine driving the band, of it can mirror Dany, or play melody to Dany OR take lead licks,, Ale's all over the place all the time!

To think that teenagers wrote this as their second album. Most accomplished bands don't attempt a concept album until 20+ years after they formed.

To me, when the chorus of The One changes from "let me be the one" to "I will be the one", there's no going back for The Queen, she knows what she has to do. It's such a subtle change in lyrics, but it's so profound to the story and it gives me chills every time.

Ugh is a song that gave them problems when they were composing it. Several times they just wanted to give up on it. But there are at least two other songs on the album that were direct offshoots of their work on Ugh. Their father insisted that they not give up on the song, so after a lot of cobbling and finessing, they had a finished song, but nothing but their working title, which of course was Ugh as that is how they referred to the song among themselves as in "Ugh, do we have to work on that song again?" So that's the origin of the title.

Thank you guys so much for continuing to check out The Warning. Queen of The Murder Scene will always be my favorite, so dark and moody and creepily foreboding. The kind of album some groups wait their entire careers for and The Warning manages to pull it off as teenage girls. The amount of talent this took is sometimes overlooked by those more impressed with flash and polish, this album could hold its own with the best of them, a heavy masterpiece.

first time I saw the Warning live was at the troubadour in Hollywood, I was a booking agent and worked with 100s of bands. at first I thought, eh, they are just another band like many others I've seen, Than Dany surprised us with Crimson Queen which was not on the setlist, I was frozen, and I knew that this band was special. I've been with the TWA ever since

When Pau first presented the story to Dany and Ale, ehey both exclaimed "Wow, so much blood, let's fix that" - DPA say in the vlogs (23, 24 and 26) that this album is a study in key changes, multiple genres are hinted incl. K-Pop. Ugh was the hardest song to finish - 2 other songs resulted from the effort: The One and The Sacrifice.

For me QOTMS is one of the best and most underrated albums of the XXI Century, is trully a masterpiece. I know it is a subjective statement but can't think of another concept album that caught my attention in the last 20 years.

@@juanloverboy9254I know and agree with you, the "underrated" is mostly due to lack of attention or exposition, as a independent 3 piece girl band that made this album at a very young age. We know they have pushed through skepticism to stablish themselves in the industry, but they have the quality and gaining recognition from fans and seasoned bands they share stage with. Eventually as they grow, fans are actually going back to listen to past material, which is great and on they way they will run into QOTMS.
