if my clay is cracking does that mean it’s too dry?

I wish you would have mentioned the sides or horns of the Rams head. You make this look so easy, but when I do this, as a beginner, I always feel like the sides are getting away from me unless I try to push them inwards.

Your clay isn’t soft enough. It needs a little more hydration.
