    Don’t care what people say Barry I always time it that coming up to a red light i coast in gear and let it engine brake then the light changes and everyone is still moving at least win win not that they’d agree 😂

      Thanks, some people don’t like it when you are honest, and tell them things they don’t want to know. Thanks for watching 👍

    Great review. Looks ideal for work.... And will allow me to fund my strictly petrol motorbikes on the weekends. Win win

    Most hybrids have the paddles to adjust brake force to charge battery. Kia, mitsubishi, Mercedes and more

    I’m looking at these as the next step on from the Prius, my 08 plate has done 132k on the original brake pads and discs and they still have 65% on at last service batteries are fine too, but gen2 Prius use nimh batteries not li-ion like these and most modern leccy cars, so not sure how long they will last along with do i buy newer or lower mileage?

      Interesting, I have just upgraded this week from my own 08 gen 2 Prius T-Spirit.
      I had researched the Outlander for approx 18 months. My Prius was _absolutely bulletproof!_ In 10 years of ownership, nothing went wrong! Every single MOT was a walk in the park with never any advisories.
      I found a high mileage 2015 top spec Outlander for a tad under 7k. It was too good to miss. (I always bit high mileage cars, never just a bit over average, but newish cars that have done about twice the average. These are generally fleet cars that have been well maintained and driven up and down motorways. There are some amazing deals to be had!
      I only took delivery is my Outlander this week, but so far it seems amazing.

      @@hongkongfuey6882 Hey, I'm looking at getting an Outlander 2015 PHEV, please could you tell me how you are finding it? Do you have any positive/negative comments? Thanks!

    Serious question though mate. Any idea how long the batteries stay efficient? i.e. how long before the big bill to change them?

    • @BarrieCrampton
      @BarrieCrampton  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      there are no cut and dried timescales, hard to give an honest answer but weve had Prius with 200,000 plus on the clock and theyre still going strong

    All his comments hedging around his distaste for electric vehicles in general make me distrust this review and switch to a different more open minded reviewer.

    • @BarrieCrampton
      @BarrieCrampton  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So with 50 years in the Motortrade, and knowing that usually the only things that go wrong on petrol and diesel cars are things that have electric motors, and now people want to drive cars powered by electric motors, i dont just dislike them i hate them, they are stupid and no one can fix them, we have just had to have a car fully reprogrammed because the electric tow bar wouldnt deploy as the operating system was corrupted, so good luck getting your electric car fixed when it goes wrong! You switch to a more open minded reviewer who doesnt have my experience, selling, diagnosing and repairing cars, thanks for watching. PS that was a car that i was selling so if you cant trust me, then you cant trust anyone,

    can we force this model to only run in EV mode and not to run the engine?
