I love that he put his YT on the screen when he was flying because he knows some Instagram account is going to steal it
bruh foreal😂😂😂
people got no respect these days they'd just blur it ot do a dynamic crop job just because. maybe used a moving watermark right below the craft or something
The date upload proves when he developed it, leaving copy cats with a later date. Best (and way cheapest) patent.

Anyone else find the sound of each motor starting up in succession oddly satisfying as a lead up to takeoff?
I loved it too!
Sure was
Very much reminds me of a jet engine. I absolutely love it.
YEAH I FREAKIN LOVED IT!!!!!!!!(:
Loved it.
You flew your father. My dad wouldnt trust my cooking, let alone a flying contraption of mine. Much respect.

Hearing all of the motors turning on is one of the coolest sounds ever!

The progressive sound of those motors starting is absolute music to my ears❤️❤️
Really it does!
You mean the sequential start?
That's what I mean yeah.
Conner, Buddy you need to hear the sound of a BIG radial engine, just once in your life; I used to work at Stits AIRCRAFT located at Flabob Airport in Riverside, Ca. and every time an old Stearman
or similar aircraft would fire up or come in for a landing we would run to the doors to watch it, Now that is a sound you will never forget.
Not knocking your choice, but give it a try, 'Couldn't Hurt !'

My dad would lecture... granted I’m not an engineer
Peter i have been watching all your flying inventions. You are truly a great and inventive man. I love your tech ability and your enthusiasm for flying.

Hi Buddy! Great vids thank you! Had a thought about your test flights vs manned controllability, weight distribution/number stuff... How heavy is the tether? And was the electronic stuff trying to compensate for the dragging of the chain through the field? Awesome job thanks for posting!
Can we give the old man the dad of the decade award for volunteering to be a test dummy for his own son.
Lmao
Id like to fly my Dad in it and get it up over 200 ft then say "Sorry Dad, I dont know what went wrong. Happy Fathers Day"
Would have been the bomb if his Dad was wearing a santa-suit! 🕊️🎶
I play my own test dummies... Lol If I built something like this there's no way I wouldn't be the one in it
omg peter you did it, some advice to all out there, always put your dad in the plane first when test a new plane.
what if the plane crashes
Plane?
That was pretty cool. Your Dad is a good sport on all of this. Colder air is denser air. you could probably get more lift early in the morning but you would still be limited to ground effect without more power for lift. If the weight was below the lift, it would be more self righting like a pendulum. I would probably be better to try it on a smaller scale first with proportional weight loading
Too many of these put the rider up over top of the props... When common sense says underslung is not only more stable but much less likely to become ground meat.
How am I supposed to not try something so cool as this on my own?
In the history of the World, how many people have strapped their dad in an RC drone and flown him around?
Like 2 max
Peter's dad has a hell of a lot of faith in his son!
Peter should get his ass spanked for putting his dad in peril’s clutches because he didn’t have the ass to get in it first. The inventor must take on this duty first after lots of experimenting and testing. Never kill your parents off as that could effect your funding a little.
Robert Langley dude his dad probably asked to be in we just saw he showed up and he was going in it he probably asked so he can be the first to fly in it I probably would have done the same
It must be a proud day for the old man to be upgraded to "human analog"...
Hahaha!
yea I know he didnt tether it or nothing, should have gave it a big punch out take pops up a couple hundred feet at 10 feet per second, haha use one of those esc's to restart dads heart
My how this has evolved since then. Keep having fun.

I love how these guys show their failures as well as the success. Keep it up. Awesome videos!!!
Idk if it would be worth watching if they just skipped the mishaps
Or they would have to fill the time with less interesting stuff
The two props on the middle should be both reaching a more oppened space respectively to the right and left to give it more stability. So you would have more of a circular air base reaching the ground.
Your dad has some balls!
Well, yeah, two of them. That's how he made Peter :)

Him: ‘we made the worlds first manned drone!’
Helecopters: *AM I A JOKE TO YOU!?*
A manned drone cannot exist. Manned drone is an oxymoron.
drone is a smaller version of helicopter and more simpler
@@doggewow3683 A drone is an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, often autonomous. Size is irrelevant. The military flies drones which are as large as many helicopters. Complexity is also irrelevant. Drones, as most people think of them, will have four or more rotors which require computer technology to control them, whereas a helicopter requires a single human operator using the cyclic, collective, and pedals, to control a main rotor and a tail rotor. A drone is only "more simpler" because computers make the decisions. Ironically, a drone's computer makes only a fraction of the decisions that a helicopter must make. Helicopters and drones have almost nothing in common. A drone is not a smaller and simpler version of a helicopter, whether it be a full-size helicopter, or RC.
@@bejarano1960 correct but drones are anything having fan like wings while quadcopters are those who have 4 or more thats why drone is a collective noun while it has many subordinates such as heli and quads.

Also, cutting off all the heads of children and adults alike as he passes by might be an issue.
@@TheKamiBunny Prop guards arent that hard to find
I want one! Observation: bolted on critical parts like prop hubs should use a threadlock adhesive on the bolts...if you don’t and a bolt backed out, well! Having the motors set further out would reduce the sensitivity.

"Manned drone"- now there's a contradiction in terminology
It’s an oxymoron like jumbo shrimp lol
It’s more of a manned hexacopter.

Instead of enjoying the company of my in laws , I am sneaking outside for a smoke and watch Peter's latest video. Merry Christmas guys.
Just imagine where the technology will be & what he can do when he's his dad's age?
at the rate of progress were been going on so far, not alot more than now since neil armstrong flew a vtol to practise his moon landing, the flying bedstead i believe it was known as technically the first drone.and that was over 50 years ago, the way i see it we've pretty much got exactly the same shit we had almost a century ago, just slightly improved versions, phones cars planes trains tv's electric cars, all were around a century ago. so wheres the progress. whats new. not much oh no hang on they didnt have leaf blowers or those things you use to clean ya windows, the suction ones that are yellow. what else. "skateboards lol".not much else, we should be living permanantly in space by now if we progressed the way we thought we would, but no, theres been little progress since the great wars. and guaranteed no sooner flying cars become reliable some law will come in preventing us from having them. governments hate progress as all the top dogs make too much money the way things already are and if someone new comes aong these top dogs will loose there place and there aint no way there gonna let some nobody do that to them, someone will find them selves having an accident first and then there ideas will go the way7 of the doh doh. like so many other great ideas that have come and gone, and everything just stays the same,m the rich getting richer and the pour paying for everything.

This actually could count as an experimental compact helicopter given that it’s manned.
*The Sripol Flying Sled was an experimental helicopter, remarkable due to its compact design, using several small rotors rather than a main rotor and tail rotor or even a conventional tandem rotor design; as a result, the Sripol Flying Sled was incredibly compact for its lifting capabilities. You should add light weight fake reindeer at the front so it can look real! ☺️
SoNotSalty it could replace those counter weights
Had the same idea. Could easily put some 2d foam reindeer on the front.

Tuna Is okay I don’t think it would replace the counter weights because those were put in for balance when flying and the reindeer would be at the front which might make the front heavier
