The amount of time and effort this must have taken is mind blowing. That riff on Hangar 18 dropped my balls another inch. Very Crowbar like. And one of the heaviest riffs I've heard in years. Great job!
TBH, it is pretty hard to distinguish the original Mgdth songs here, but that´s absolutely OK with me, cos the end product is a great addition to the TON catalogue! Thumbs up and respect for the effort! The Green Man would have liked this, I´m sure!
This is absolutely fantastic! I first had to listen to Lucretia as that's my favorite on the Megadeth album and was really curious as to how that'd turn out, and I was completely blown away! I think it's going to end up being my favorite on your album as well. I love how you translated that opening guitar melody to the keyboard, and honestly it had me thinking it was an 80's Rush riff for a second lol. I especially loved your backing vocals of "away" towards the end, very Kevin Moore-esque. I haven't heard anyone else have that beautiful yet almost monotone sense of harmony until now, felt like a mix of Chroma Key/OSI covering Grace Under Pressure with the distortion pedals turned up. This whole album felt like a fusion of a bunch of different styles, not just Type O, and you really turned all these songs into completely different compositions. Love what you did with Hanger 18 especially. I always felt the Megadeth song started too abruptly and felt out of place in the album personally, but your song flows perfectly and love the bass opening and the grungy bends. The chorus in Five Magics reminded me of the Spiderbait song Tremolo, and your vocals in the bridge were awesome. Dawn Patrol is perfect as a doom metal song, and reminds me of the band OM. The best part is even with the other artists I'm reminded of, all of this sounds distinctly like your sound and you really turn these covers into your own songs. I love your variety of vocal styles, and all the harmonics and echoed tones throughout the album were great to hear. Your vocals on the "eye of the tornado" part of Tornado of Souls are beautifully chilling, and always felt Rust in Peace...Polaris deserved to be a longer epic and you did just that! Not even a fan of Type O, but loved this whole album! Can imagine how immense of a project this was, awesome job!

This appeared in my recommended and what really impresses me about the translations, is that they completely honor both Type-O's writing and structure style as well as vocal. These are not just straight across covers, as I initially anticipated, but rather literally a transposition of if these songs if they were written by Type-O and not Megadeth. That is rather brilliant and I really enjoy having a brand new Type O Negative album that technically does not exist. Hanger 18. Yes. I saw Type O idk 25+ times. They were my favorite band. I've listened to all of your Type O style songs. Hanger 18 just brought tears to my eyes. I felt like I was listening to a Type O Negative song I had never heard before. Thank you!!! Don't ever stop.
If you told 15 year old me I'd one day hear Megadeth's "Five Magics" (much less the whole album) in the style of Type O Negative my mind would've been blown. Two of my favorites from that time of my life. I know you get hella suggestions but I could see Good Mourning (Black Friday) being done in a Tripping A Blind Man type style just from hearing you do this. Keep at it man. You never fail to deliver.
Rust in peace is what got me into metal and made me pick up guitar, then I got into Type o when I was in highschool... So this is litterally a perfect combination of my two favorite things in music. Beautifully done my friend

Denis, I swear the ghost of Peter Steele must possess you when doing these arrangements, even down to the way Type O would have produced this….. time changes, key changes, Kenny singing the chorus…. Even having the keyboard fills exactly where Josh would put them. You also seemed to incorporate the styles of several TON albums into this. I mentioned SLD&H with Holy Wars. Dawn Patrol hints at World coming Down. Rust in Peace flavors of October Rust. This is just absolutely brilliant. (Just wish YT wouldn’t play their ads in the middle of the songs…. Not your fault). Okay, now do the album in death metal.
