Ugh. What is it with people who manage the camera systems *_cutting to people on their phones?_* The first significant damage to PL and we only saw it in the far background. Not quite on the level of Battlebots and the Icewave vs Biteforce match, but come on-we're here to watch bots fight and not to see what people in the audience are ordering on ebay.
@@ConstantlyDamaged Those three guys aren't the audience they are actually me and my team, guy on the phone was a teammate recording the fight for me 😂 The camera crew couldn't have had any idea I was about to get a lucky shot (neither did I) so it was just badly timed, definitely not the NHRL camera crew's fault. One of the best parts IMO of the March 2022 event was that they had the views of the drivers/builders on the corners with the action still in the main part of the screen, instead of cutting away to show us. As a builder and driver, I loved seeing that in March because I could see how my opponent and I reacted to big hits & whatnot; I also like putting a face to a robot.
@@beescheese9716 Yeah, I totally get that. And in the slow parts of a match it can be great to see the drivers/crew doing their thing. But it'd be great if they could save those cut-aways to those moments and use a box cam when the action is hot. (Yeah, I know this requires some more thought going into the editing/camera work.)
@@ConstantlyDamaged the thing is theres no post editing this is taken from stream, so they have to basically predict when hits are/aren't going to happen, unfortunately this time they guessed wrong and someone got a lucky hit while they weren't cuttingn to action, i dont think thats been happening that much though
I don't think it sustained any damage besides the bit of plastic that spartan tore off. I think it was only slowing down because it wore down it's wheels. Also maybe it battery might have gotten low enough that it became a factor.
If you want to see this robot fail then just make a small fighting arena ... What the f is that 10 by 10 ft .... I think the promoter or the people in charge in building this cage is an arss. 😅😂🤣😀😄👽
Nah, project liftoff usually has much more control over its direction. Feels like it had some major driving issues here. It does perform incredibly well in that same arena in other fights
Wait a minute .... Plywood normally comes in 4x8 and I see one single seam in the middle .... I was so F-king wrong, yes I admitted I'm ars too the arena size is more than fair. I just see it as a disadvantage. 😐
im really curious how much it costs to replace the fight arena everytime project liftoff tears it apart?
The floor is just plywood so not much
The floor for Michigan Mashup 2023 was covered with the click together flooring so it's cheap and easy to rip up and replace.
Another fight with the screaming hockey puck
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
No one’s gonna talk about the hexbug beta in the arena??.

which moments are you talking about?
@@beescheese9716 2:39 when they cut to three guys only to miss the moment when a huge piece is ripped off Project Liftoff.

Project liftoff beat itself up this fight.

Hey really put the beta hexbug toy in the box

My apologies for calling someone an ars other than me .........
