    Hey lovelies! Welcome back! This video is long overdue, so thank you for being patient! Baby Sebastian's outdooring and naming ceremony took place in early January this year. It was an amazing night filled with so much love, and joy, as we celebrated this special occasion with family and friends, and where we as first time parents got to experience this beautiful part of our Ghanaian culture. So I'm happy to finally be able to share it with you, my youtube family! xoxo

    I'm still watching and loving how Grandpa is explaining our culture and the significance of the ceremony.
    Sebastian Kwabena Owusu Smith, akwaaba. May you live long and prosper! May you be a channel of God's love and evidence of God's power on earth. May you be a blessing and may your life be filled with grace Favor love and blessings!

      Outdooring is his official introduction to the community.

      Yes, it's the baby's official welcome to family and friends

    Could you please explain what an outdooring is

    • @priscillasmith5715
      @priscillasmith5715 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rue14 is dedication of a new born baby after the church there is a party thats the outdooring I don't know if am right but that's the little I know

    • @waterbambam7455
      @waterbambam7455 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      “Out” and “dooring” basically showing the baby to the world because the baby is kept hidden for a couple of days when they’re newly born. It’s an Akan tradition

    • @abenalove
      @abenalove  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The ladies basically explained it as I would have 😊 It's a party/celebration when you show off the child to family and friends technically for the first time since they were born, because in Akan tradition, when a baby is born, the baby and mother stay home for the first 3 months
