My headcanon for who took the items back from Ponehenge and stored them away was that Clover the Clever did it. I think it was mentioned that he was Starswirl's apprentice, so it would be likely he came across the items and stored them away like he did with the memory stone. He doesn't seem to be one to destroy magical objects.
If I have to be totally honest, I do enjoy the Analyst Bronies reaction more than this one, but it's still fun with some nice references :D Also this is a part of the Tired Triology, sooooo yeah. Expect the third one soon!
I can't believe I never commented on this video because I did watch it when it first aired. Gees, 5 years ago? Hard to believe it's been that long. Anyway, I did enjoy this finale, but it was definitely brought down by Twilight's behavior in the first half. This just proved to me again how dumb Twilight can be when she has tunnel vision. One complaint I've heard over the years was how didn't anyone else (besides Starlight) didn't think that the Pony of Shadows would also be released along with the Pillars. I am just going to put what I said in your Analyst Bronies react video- I do have a theory on why no one else but Starlight never figured out that releasing the Pillars would be releasing the Pony of Shadows. In the past whenever Twilight 'took charge', no one ever questioned her decisions. This has happened multiple times too with others. When someone is an 'expert' in a subject, rarely does anyone go against what they know. Another complaint I've heard is Starswirl's behavior in this finale. I sometimes feel like I was the only one who was expecting it. There was a lot of foreshadowing to his behavior before the Finale- 1. The fact that Starswirl did have that unfinished spell. Even Celestia said Starswirl never understood friendship the way Twilight did in S3 finale. 2. He made a LOT of powerful spells and did big deeds. This tells me he probably has the arrogance to back it up and took magic very seriously. Also I find it ironic that the Pony of Shadows was basically all talk and no action. The ONLY thing he ever did was he came close to defeating Twilight that first time. If I were to rank all of the villains of this show (movies included), I would rank him very low, probably the lowest. Btw, I did rank the finales, and I think this one ended up somewhere in the middle.
