I never understood why the movie had such terrible ratings. I've watched it 7 times, i love it. I think im gonna go watch it again now.

This movie is a masterpiece. One of the great sci-fi movies of our time. I think I got bad ratings just because of Tom Cruise’s personal issues. But this is still one of his best movies and I watched it a million times. Love it
When I first watched this movie, I watched it twice in the same night, I was so impressed and moved, that I had to play it again... I still love it to this day.
I just want to add that this soundtrack is pure genius. I love it. The music by the composer and the end credits by M83 are perfect.

After seeing this movie, I remember reading about the bad reviews when it first came out. I was shocked at the response it got on opening night. Maybe the bad publicity Tom Cruise was having to deal with about his marriage with Katty at the time had something to do with it, and nobody wanted see his movies. To bad. Im a big time scifi movie goer and this was one of the best iv seen. The music is a perfect fit to this story.

This song haunts me. Like the movie there is a sort of silent melancholic beauty over it.
I love this song. My family doesn't get the movie. They say it makes no sense. I think it makes complete sense and I don't know how they don't understand it. At the end when the girl sees him it's the other one because the one that she was with at first actually died.
It is loosely based on a tale of two cities by Charles Dickens which is one of the books Jack was reading. Movie writers slip things like that in to film as a footnote that they borrow a concept.

One of the greatest ever end credit tracks. Ranks right up there with "Adagio for Strings" at the end of Platoon.

OK. This film had some major faults with the logic and believability of the story. Not just small details either - big chunks. This is undeniably a problem.
HOWEVER. I can forgive a film quite a lot as long as its overall aesthetic - its vision - moves me. Visually, "Oblivion" is magnificent, and ultimately watching it is an uplifting experience. The moment when this song takes off is unforgettable. It is the perfect piece of music for a futuristic sci-fi story. Glorious.

Perfect song for a future/space oriented movie. The song itself takes me to another universe. I think Hollywood doesn't focus enough on quality soundtracks that perfectly harmonize with movies anymore. Soundtracks like lord of the rings or star wars that are forever remembered

jack 52 was the guy jack 49 fought in the desert, as tet got destroyed he probably left the tower and victoria didnt. he then met the scarvengers and they explained everything so he could find the house on the sea. the other mec teams wont find julia because they dont know about this or are in a different sector they will probably commit suicide or will live until they die. jack 49 was the original and he impregnated julia the night they slept
Did you slow the soundtrack a bit down? It seems a little bit different than the version i heard in the movie...
same here, normally when i am doing film nights at home for me its once one film ends the next is on, but this time both me and my sister in-law sat back down when hearing this song and kinda repeated it a few times also.. it was a darn good soundtrack now going to search for it

I really like this song. Nice melody and its epic. I could imagine this song coming from Sigur Ros. The only thing that I don't like so much is that Susanne Sundfør's vocals are a bit too piercing at times.
Overall a 7/10 movie. I would have liked the movie to spend more time with the scavs to get to explore morgan freeman's character as well as the sergeant guy a little better. Julia was also barely developed.
