Your courage in sharing 1) your mistake, 2) your fix and 3) your subsequent fixes is admirable! It was extremely helpful for me to watch how you figured out which loop to enter from which side to make this repair. Watching you tackle this gives me more tools to tackle my errors. Thank you!
That is a beautiful sweater Heather!!! I know when you see a mistake, you have to make it right. That was quite a correction you did, so nice and perfect on the right side. And worth the effort, just a short time to make it right. And I did find this interesting....your patience is beyond mine, so I applaud you. I made an Aran fisherman knit sweater once, had all the intricate cables. It was a gift, and when the person was wearing it, it looked so nice....and then I saw an error in the cabling....my stomach flipflopped .... but I would never have tried to fix it. Live and learn.... you are a master knitter, and I'm sure you have some tales to tell. Thank you for sharing this tutorial Heather....you are so brave, and you have excellent eyesight to spot that teeny tiny error that no one could spot. 😍💕
Thanks for showing your repair process. I appreciate the fact that you showed ehen you ripped back the first attempt at repair and fixed it again. Such a beautiful cardigan.
Extraordinary dedication to the craft. Not something I would attempt and I applaud both your skill and your bravery. Especially as you went back and redid it!
Incredible what you've done ! Really difficult task. Congratulations. For me, just watching you cutting the yarn made me shiver. ! I like what a hard worker you are and you didn't stop until you got your cardigan all repaired. It deserves it. It's a beautiful cardigan.

3:40 exactly, this scissor cut was heroic
Fantastic! Thank you for sharing this. I've saved for future reference. Much appreciated
I'm glad you found it helpful!!
Isn't perfectionism just annoying 😉😊 Coming from my experience. Very important video though. TY
Yes, perfectionism is annoying sometimes!!
Do you have a video on how you secured your buttons?
Oh, no - I don't think I do! I used a tight woven linen fabric and cut it into squares, and used that in place of backing buttons. Works really well!
