Still got my MPD26, been good to me for well over a decade. Used it on everything from Ableton to my ASR 10.
Holy shit, another piece of equipment I actually owned. but I sold this in favor of the first Maschine. Yes, those pads were stiffer than that certain sock in your room, which is why I was glad when I found mpcstuff that not only sold better pads, but also showed you how to install them on the MPD
Yup or just put layers squares duct tape underneath it lol
Lol! I feel you.
Yooo! Same upgrade path! Had the phat UNC colored pads
I didn't find the pads that bad. I actually like the pads better than the MPC One+ because they are bigger.
MPD226 is my all time favorite
The MPD18 was my introduction to Akai Professional
Nice.
EPIC EPIC EPIC! Keep going brother!
Thanks fam.
Still have the MPD24 that I bought in 2008. Still works like a charm.
Nice!
Me too. Had it for about the same time. I was disappointed when I hear about note repeat later and found out that it didn't have it.
Great video, had one in 2014 or so and needing fl7 or something sucked 😆 I'm happier with sp202
No doubt lol.
Great video, man!!! Can we get an MPC One video?
The MPD is hard af. Actually a really nice midi controller and vibes well with your akai hardware samplers
I literally just got this off a friend for free, excited to watch this video and learn how to use it
Dude, hilarious!
LOL!
I still have mine. I love it
Nice!!
in my opinion The korg padkontrol is one of the best drumpads controller ever made when it comes to drumrolls and flams when you use the xy pad you could make the rolls soulful / off grid other controller only have linear double or triplets note repeat functions that make it sound stiff wish they made a padkontrol 2 with more knobs or a controller thats support al their plugins like maschine i would still use this over a maschine or akai controller till this day
I love that gum!!!
#Wow ! 🤩 #Dyreck #MPC1000
Thanks fam.
That bus analogy is pure genius lol
Lmao!
Bought mine in 09... MPD 32...usb port just broke a few months ago..had to replace the pads...were very thin and not as responsive...lol got my mpcstuff replacement...but for the times...it served it's purpose
I feel you.
You couldn't tell me this wasn't an MPC back then. I didn't know a thing hahaha
Still can't (tell me it isn't). If times get tough and I have to sell my X and my One+ I'll be right on that MPD32 putting in work. I only use the X as a controller anyway and myone+ isn't as portable as my ipad nor my surface pro. 🤷🏾♂
I got the MPD32. Love it. I use it with my ipad and BeatMaker 3. The MPD32 Coupled with the MPC beats Software is a great low-cost option for a starting beat maker.
My MPC X is my main tool right now, and I use it as a controller way more than I use it in standalone mode so a new beatmaker should not foot that cost imo.
I feel you.
I still use an old mpd 24 on beatmaker 3 on the ipad sometimes. I plan to trick it out with new pads and stuff soon
Oh ok nice!
I do also with the 32. I just posted that comment before reading this one. I think the MPD is an excellent controller for BM3.
I bought an MPD32 in 2008. I used it with Reason and Fruity Loops. I sold it with my desktop in 2010 and bought a laptop and Maschine.
I haven’t tried but I think the best usage for an mpd32 is to accompany it with the akai daw. I haven’t tried yet though. I have an MPC live 2 right now. I would use this Logic Pro and it worked great. I was just sent an MPC live 2 instead of live 1 like I had order so I switched and never went back
A had a mpd 32 I used with Reason back in the day
Nice!
Only
Reason I bought a mpd24- and mpd32…. I could afford an MPC
Lol Nice.
I never got into the MPDs. I was getting MPC 2k XL and Black 1k for like 5-600 in that era.
Oh ok..You was getting that bread lol.
I actually own the MPD226. Works really well.
Nice.
I use Renoise as a daw sequencer. Ppl say on the Renoise message board that this is a good controller for it.
Oh ok.
I still got the mpd 26 the silver one, I used it with fl studio FPC before I got my first mpc, The Touch
Oh ok dope!
Still use mine for the faders and knobs.
bought mine for about £50 used.
I feel you..50 bucks thats nice.
I got the MPD24 as a gift from my mother for my 17th birthday. sheesh man I remember how geeked i was! tried to plug it up and turn to make beats with it, and realized i needed a computer
😆. brrooo heart was broken lol. when i turned 18 tho (in 2008) i ended up getting a computer for college (from my mother). and i finally was able to break that 24 out LOL. 15 years later here i am, still making beats. shouts out to MOM! and FUCK SAM ASH 🤣. that nigga lied. lol
Lmao!!!!!
the mpd's are dope that and a laptop and you're set
Pretty much.
@@DyReckProductions i think akai even offers the MPC software for free now
Outside of the pad stiffness, if you know how to use it. The MPD32 is as tough of those pads. I have a few of them. Love them outside of the pads. Faders, knobs, and pad combo is still one of the best. Akai should make a second version with better pads
I still get busy on my mpd32 th-cam.com/video/vy_B-S-VMww/w-d-xo.htmlsi=o79_WMb8oDIgf7ky
Yeah they should make another one.
Once you replace the pads with the thick fat pads, the MPD32 is solid 💪
I feel you.
I loved my m-audio trigger finger because I didn’t have any money for an mpc😅😅😅
I got 2 MPC 1K's and a 500.
Shoutout to E-A Ski. We should not have had to buy pads for the MPC-1000. Akai stayed doing us dirty. I haven’t brought any Akai 💩since the 1000.
Word!
Korg padkontrol has the best pads till this day
Yup!!
I sat that one out only cuz the mpd16 ruined it for me. I plug that USB cable in and like 10 seconds later BSOD everytime.
Dang!!
👍🏾
Thanks!
Just found mine in my basement in mint condition
People paid Akai to be beta testers when they copped the MPD32 follow me on this a few years later the Ren drops same shit just a bigger version with pop out screen and software the Ren was the precursor to them getting back into making hardware again .
I feel you.
The sad part is comapnies are still selling controllers for high prices. Komplete Kontrol hunk of plastic for 800 plus
Dang Lol!!
Just got rid of mine this year for a trade in at Guitar Center for a Nektar Impact LX Mini.
Just curious. Why did you get the Nektar instead of the MPK Mini?
@@BigCore- I traded that in with it. Nektar is way better in my opinion. They just got some of the features with the Plus that Nektar’s already had.
Dyrek, btw for 399 we can now buy a K2500rs Kurtzweil. Its true.
Wow!!..You know ima check it out now.
The mpd 32 needed mpc beats that was the difference between the mpd and the maschine
lol
And Tap Away They Did. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
8:30 😂
Lol!!
@@DyReckProductions will you do sp202 video next ?
😂😂Yo! Tap away they did! Lol
Lmao!
I still have my mpd32 it's in a box in our storage room but I still have it. I think the idea was and concept was great BUT it just wasn't that good.
The pads weren't very good at all.
Yeah that joint was trash
Lol!!!
Damn the MPD32 was over 400 bucks smh.
Yup!
The MPC Ren ended up not being much more than it years later and that costed a couple of thousand. 🤷🏾♂
Yeah that joint was trash
Lol!!!
Yeah that joint was trash
Lol!!!
