I'm Canadian but defended Trump a lot online during his campaign and didn't think the Canada/US tariff situation would even get this far so kinda ignored it. What a dumb thing for Trump to do.
Trump asked Canada and Mexico to assist with securing our boarders or he would raise and enforce tariffs. He gave a notice and a date. Trump is respecting the US taxpayers and ensuring our country’s sovereignty. This is how our country was supposed to be run this entire time. We do hate the impact this will have on Canadian and Mexican citizens, but US citizens have spoken and we finally have a leader that is protecting us.
