I've driven both ecos, hardtop and convertible as well as both 5.0's and I can honestly say the eco boost are amazing cars to drive and have a suprising amount of power. However the convertible 5.0 is definitely my favorite.
No, the rear seat does not fold in the convertible. There is a structural brace behind the rear seat, and with the folding top down it could be damaged if the seat was folded. Get a coupe if you want folding rear seat back. 🙂 I have a 2019 Ecoboost convertible 6 speed manual and on the highway avg 65-70 mph the car easily gets 33 mpg on regular gas. My 86 GT had 200 hp, so this Ecoboost with 310 hp is plenty.
Agree completely. For those of us whose conception of "performance" means more than going from 0 to 60 mph in a straight line while making as much noise as possible and don't have to bolster their gender identity with a vehicle, a properly configured Ecoboost Mustang is a credible alternative to a European sports car at a significant savings. I"m lucky enough to live in the Pacific Northwest where roads frequently curve and mountains exist. No doubt a Mustang GT will outperform an Ecoboost version in a quarter mile drag race. But take each on a 50 mile mountain loop and the driver in the Ecoboost Mustang will be on a second cup of coffee when the GT (with the equivalent of an NFL lineman sitting in the passenger seat) arrives.
no way, gt has a lot more tire. i also think the smaller engine might be the better one because it's a lot quiet. if both cars had the same tires, the lighter car would be much better cornering.
No this is a silly comment. Absolutely 100 percent i agree the ecoboost is a great car but performance wise the GT will beat it time and time again. Especially in the PNW area, being able to hear the v8 roar through the mountains is an incredible feeling. I've rented an ecoboost and own the GT, both are great but the GT is better in every way other than fuel consumption.
Great cars, i own a 2017 mustang ecoboost 6 speed manual coupe in uk, its a great car my pride an joy, thinking about gt 10 speed auto in couple of years time just for the v8 sound, want one in grabber lime or twister orange they look amazing 👍 good review man, nice seat colour in that mustang 😍👍👍🏴
no don't kid yourself lol, let's just say it would make a great second vehicle, especially with the droptop. Second to none other than one of the top 3 favorite pony cars, Mustang GT of course, Camaro SS, or the Challenger Scat Pack.
mac daddy yes for sure but only 20 with my first purchase of a 2019 sports car I probably would have overpaid for anything of the sort 😂 I got what I wanted so I’ll just be happy lollll
The automatic with the convertible, especially in the Premium Ecoboost package, is awesome. It is not a race car; if your intent is the track, get the coupe. This is a fairly sophisticated drop top sports car - cruiser, and feels like it was designed from the ground up to do this. Plenty of power when you need it, good handling, very sporty yet very comfortable. And it looks gorgeous. Not quite as sexy as, say, the Aston Martin convertible, but far more beautiful than it’s convertible domestic (ahem) challengers. It also has better lines IMO than many of the BMW and Mercedes convertibles. Oh, and unlike the convertible Camaro competitor it has plenty of trunk/stowage space.
Ecoboost = affordable sports car Gt= pony/ muscle car. In south africa I would compare the gt to the m3 and c63. While the EcoBoost is compared to the gt86 and supra.
X .x I own one. its dope every time I go to drive it. seriously so much fun lol. Put the car in sport mode while driving down shift using paddle shifter then take off!

Absolutely get the coupe. It's going to be WAY too hot in the UAE for a convertible. The convertible is also slower and more expensive.
Just drop the top and turn on the cooling seats and ac 👍

You want as much manual controls on the convertible top as you con get. You are lazy if you think the center latch on the top is too much work.
But you shouldn’t have to remove the Mustang name to enjoy the car. I do like this vehicle though.
Convertible (31,385$) new or used?
Is this car still available?
