I learnt toe up socks first, so comes easy for me. Always a pair of socks going, and one sweater project, cant stand having too many at once. Agree with you.

Toe up socks - easy cast on and you can try it on as you go…you'll have to try the sweet tomato heel, too! Ohhhh - I love that basket!

I prefer cuff down too. I believe some people prefer toe up because you can use all of your yarn if you want longer socks. No fear of running out of yarn.
I never know when to start the heel, and love the fit of flap and gusset heels. So i stick to my same old approach.

Hmm at least that’s somewhat of a good reason but also I have never run out of yarn while knitting socks, I usually have a bunch leftover…

I Never ever do toe up socks. I dońt like it at all. And I have always more than one project on the needles. Marry Christmas from switzerland 🇨🇭.

I learned to knit socks cuff down and it took a few years to finish the second one. Then I learned toe up socks two at a time and have never looked back.

I’ve done two at a time once. I can definitely understand the appeal. I just love my dpns too much.

It’s probably good to try it once… haha but I don’t love the process

I refuse to knit a toe up sock, I don’t understand it either. Trying to get the foot to fit is near to impossible

Love your videos! What is the pattern for the sweater you are wearing in this video? It looks like a great project for 2025!
