Since Master is now unambiguously it's own difficulty and not a part of Expert you can just happen to skip to, it's the only difficulty with no bonus stages.
Alot of nerfs in master it seems goals turned in helix and synchronized, good cycle in notch, no more weird gamecube to balance on (thank god). Also that button on cylinders I think is new didnt even think they would put one there.
I ACCIDENTALLY Took the green Goal in Synchronized And Skipped Helix during my 1st playthrough of Master/Master extra, I never got to unlock Master in The original because I definitely ran out of lives on Expert. Now I have to play master again Just to unlock the Hardest stage in the Monkey Ball 2 Game. I mean I did pretty much save an hour of potential time wasted because I accidentally skipped Helix… but in reality I didn’t because Now I have to do Long Torus again :/
I would NEVER touch cylinders with a 39 1/2 ft pole. I’m always running backwards on swing bridges and the fact that they nerfed cylinders makes me want to touch it even less. I also just learned what notch is, I always skipped through passage green goal
@@SuperMonkeyCherrim for whatever reason, I had like a 40% success rate on the old GameCube version when I did that, I always found it better to sorta clip into the corner and lean back towards middle 😂 maybe my nostalgia is wrong, I’ll boot it up later today and update on my results 💀
@@MrCat-se7ws I agree, It was in the original. But I think they're talking about the 'Planets' level. It starts opening up even though they didn't fall out of the stage.
@@MrCat-se7ws I believe they were talking about the level destiny, the dice one. Granted in the original it was a gamecube that rotated but since the remake is multi platform they had to change it.
Originally I was just gonna keep looking through the comments but you made me notice that there’s an opaque texture on the outside but a transparent mesh on the inside of the outer ring platforms and it bothers me immensely, thank you :)

Variable width looks even harder with the camera angle, the monkey blocks the path ahead of you when you roll forward
The final stage of master extra was replaced with a Dice from the GameCube console
When I saw cylinders, my PTSD kicked in, and when I saw the stop button I thought _"Oh look, a skip button!!!"_

Just noticed that the red goal in Planets was downgraded to a green goal. Are there other stages that received a nerf like that?
This was the only goal nerf.

Cylinders is a stupid easy stage tho, you just back up and run straight and you’ll fly through everything

They are talking about the last level. In the original the side that opened the goal was the side you started on not the opposite.

Bro they nerfed tf out of Helix. It’s WAY harder in the original game compared to this one.

Fun fact, Destiny actually originates from Super Monkey Ball Deluxe, since that game wasn't on a GameCube either

They added a pause button to Cylinders, probably nerfing it
The added motion does add greatly to the difficulty in Cylinders, but its still somewhat a difficult stage to navigate normally.
