FINALLY a channel that is showing us the true meaning of power and action. Don’t ever stop these videos. This will save everyone money and get the exact rods you are looking for. Outstanding videos. Keep it coming 👍👍👍👍👍👍. Best part and should be in all the videos is when you have the screen shot of all the rods side by side
I own Poison Ultima, P5 Destroyers, NRXs, and St Croix Legend Extreme, among a host of others like Falcon Cara, and Shimano Expride. Of all the rods I have, I find myself reaching for my Kistler Heliums more often than most. He6 simply feel incredible. Hyper sensitive, balanced, and like 3.5 oz. Premium components AND the best customer service I’ve encountered. Dobyns and St Croix have exceptional customer service as well. There absolutely is a point of diminishing return with rods. Have a buddy with a Conquest that’s nice but not worth the extra $$. Next to my Kistlers, I really like my Falcon Cara Amistad. What a fantastic rod for a host of techniques! To each his own. I used to be a product trainer for Lexus and that’s the comparison I like to make for my Kistlers. No, not a Rolls Royce but does everything as exceptionally well with class and better reliability.
That’s cool, so much of this is personal taste. Some rods just that that thing that pushes them to another level in someone’s mind and vice versa in someone else’s. I bought a couple z bones and heliums right before I started building for myself and the wife. I’ve made a couple dozen, all on north fork and point blank blanks. They both have the same engineer involved in making them. I’ll never bring myself to buy an NRX, when I look at the components and especially the build quality it will never justify the price. Their wraps look like an 5th grader put them on. For me if I’m reaching for a store bought rod it’s always an Adrena or a P5.
Thanks. As a rod builder, feeling in hand is important but intentionally adding weights to the butt section does lessen the sensitivity. I will not do it.
That's true, most of the time...not sure if you've ever used the legend extreme, but they're certainly not lacking any sensitivity, they have some sort of voodoo going on. I don't personally build, but my buddy does as a hobby and he's built me a few, it's amazing what just adding an inch to a butt section or number of guides and their placement can do to the balance and weight of a rod. I was dumbfounded when I saw how much difference it makes.
It's true 100% of the time. A rod is a hollow tube. Your line vibrates which then vibrates your rod. The lighter the rod and more rigid the fiber that make the rod, the less loss of vibration thats felt by the angler. Adding counter weights reduces vibration. Certain types of grips are insulators that will further reduce the felt vibration Reel weight is irrelevant. It is simple physics. If you palm a reel the reel is at the moment center. That means it has zero influence on the balance of the weight. That is proven my imagining a see saw. You can pile as much weight as you want on the pivot and it won't be felt on either end.
Counter point on the Legend Extreme… it does fish heavier than the NRX 853. I fished both side by side using a Steez SV reel. Legend felt more tip heavy. Sensitivity was split with the NRX.
I have two GLX and a P5 Madbull as my higher end rods. The Madbull is hands down my favorite rod that I own. From the wall bend it looks to me like the Daemos is sort of a slightly lighter duty Madbull style action and bend. Now I want one!

Dobyn xtasy is up there . I sold all my NRX to buy xtasy and blow away with sensitivity . Plus you get good deals and warranty on xtasy
Yep Xtasy’s are awesome
873CRR would be a good one to bend. It’s a sleeper.
Thanx, ya gotta start using the same reel for all the rods tested. Do it right if your going to comment on feel, no variables
Need to do the same video for spinning rods for sure.
I notice the rod bending video featured the poison ultima is taken down 🤔

Yeaaa! Money!!!
Level NGX 7'2 MH Fast, best rod for the money.
Do the Poison adrena
No Conquest huh? Bummer
Well, it is time to level up!
You guys don’t carry the Shimano Ultima?
Not in stock…he mentioned in the video that it’ll come in a later video
My Daiwa steez reel controls will easily compete with anything on planet earth 🌍 . No one talks about them but they are on another level.
