Done a bit of spearfishing around the coast of New Zealand and I can say its nice to just sit there and watch the fish swimming round and round. Great footage!
Because people are hypocrites. They don't want to to see people killing fish, they prefer to have someone else kill for them (along with a bunch of other things) and buy at the supermarket.

I am guessing: 1) what would someone do with 10 Kingfish / Yellow Tail? (New Zealand has strict laws against selling recreational catch / need a commercial licence to sell); 2) New Zealand has bag limits to ensure the fisheries aren't destroyed, these are 3 Yellow Tail /Kingfish and 20 total fin fish. Plus restrictions on the last fish shot (Australian Snapper). So he wouldnt have legally been able to shoot a dozen yellow tail.

Assuming you lost that last big king as there was no footage of landing etc?
The biggest fish taken was 36 kg. Didn't loose any fish on this trip, the last one was landed and came in around 34 kg :)
