If they have told them dont take no problem, but according to theory they'll be negative and even focal length of concave mirror is also negative only.
Mirror u have to keep atleast 50 to 60 cm far, and u have to sit on zeroth end of the optical bench. Both pins must be in front of mirror. And if u find rough focal length u will get to know where v should keep the object or else roughly u can keep somewhere where u observe it's clear inverted image.

It's not length, it's focal length, it will not be given, u should find rough focal length by distant object method first
