It's the ownership. Recruitment has been woeful for years. This is why we were relegated in 2023. We were quite a way off automatic promotion last season, but we made it. Recruitment for our return to the Premier League was again poor this summer. Apart from Fernandes (who is quality) and Harwood Bellis (a real leader), we just don't have the players in the 11 let alone the squad. It wasn't Russell Martin, its not Juric, it's the owners.

Re: Adam Armstrong giving the shirt to someone's mum for predicting a 0-5 loss. The 'someone', who then chose to publish it on social media (doh), is actually the ex-player liasion officer from the club.

Ramsdale wasn't in the Arsenal team and didn't look like getting back any time soon. He's playing himself back into form and notice - he got back into the England squad - he'll move to a big club in the summer. Moving to Southampton was a genius move.

Russell Martin is to blame with the style of play they adopted when they were not good enough to play that way

So what’s the excuse for Juric’s first 3 games? Just because the mistakes aren’t at the back doesn’t mean it’s any better.

lol. They can change managers another 2-3 more times this season and they’re not getting out of it. Russell Martin ruined the players 😂😂

In my opinion, it is a mixture of a lot of factors. 1. Bad managers: Martin was a bad manager. The last season we were lucky to get promoted with the number of conceded goals where you usually stay in the middle of the table. Now, we hired Juric-another abysmal choice for the manager, where it is very clear he is not able to pick up the right players with the right motivation.2. Bad selection. It has been coming for years. I could say the bad selection is even started in Puel's time and it continued afterward uo to the present day. 3. Inadequate ownership and BoD. SR is a joke with the decisions they have made in the last 3 years. They are out of depth in any area of managing SFC.

It's down to a poor amount of coaches being used n good 1s who don't get a look in if they don't fit, plus average coaches have come n over complicated good tactics thinking their elite coaches lol football ain't that difficult

Russel Martin wasn’t the sole issue at Saints but he was a big problem. Otherwise, it’s clear Southampton’s squad isn’t up to it in the Prem and their recruitment has been poor for a while.
