Even though the Beast is getting old and just wants to be left alone to enjoy retirement it still holds the place as a fairly accurate representation of the character from the best Batman origin movie to date , your mileage may vary considering the arthritic joints of said figure and all EB figures for that matter . The HT version is nothing to sneeze at either with HT holding its spot firmly for quality overall . Sucks in some ways you have to redo whats been done but any reason to show the real Beast is a good one ..
This is hands down the best Batman figure to date, despite a few issues. It has quite a commanding and intimidating presence to it. The tilted head and the way in which the cape wraps itself around Batman give the piece a brooding appearance. The velvet cape definitely elevates the figure as a whole. The head sculpts are very impressive, especially The Bruce Wayne head sculpt. It has a spot on likeness of actor Christian Bale. A few of the accessories have faded in terms of paint application, but they are a bit on the older side. I like the pristine gold utility belt because it pops against the dark nature of the suit. The arm gauntlets as well as the fins should've been given a bit of a sheen. For some reason, the left arm won't sit flush, which is most likely an issue with the underlying body. Like I've already mentioned, this is an amazing Batman figure, despite a few drawbacks. By the way, I love the photos at the end. In terms of my favorite Batman movie, it would either be Batman Begins or The Dark Knight. Its a tough choice because both films are really good. Christopher Nolan must've been a fan of Batman while also respecting the character and understanding the source material. Those aspects are apparent when it comes to the quality of The Dark Knight Trilogy as a whole. Otherwise, thanks once again Dean for another great video. I really appreciate the hard work. Keep it up!
As the NECA 1/4 Batman Begins descend from its involuntary seclusion in your attic, my souls feels more at peace. If you, my colleague collector have seen almost all the videos from Dean, you may remember that there is one video when he scores these 3 figures. Guess which figure got the highest score ? The NECA one. To my surprise it was later banished from entering the Olimpus and forgoten... until now... Good video Dean. Cheers.
My brother, Dean, mine just arrived here in Malaysia and it is a masterpiece. They referred him as ‘The Beast’ for a reason. I've always viewed your videos to learn everything I could about the figure.
I used to believe the hot toys version was better but oh boy was i wrong. sure its built better and is more detailed but god did they get a LOT off. The enterbay despite all of its flaws looks so much better
I like these DeanKnight revisits. Enterbay's Batman, BD T-800 and T-1000 are probably the best figures in my collection with regards to likeness and presence. The Enterbay Joker, while still very impressive, isn't quite at the same level. For me, the BD T-800 is Enterbay's finest work, the likeness and attention to detail is exceptional. It also has fewer flaws. I've never been all that keen on the Bruce Wayne sculpt. Enterbay did a good job capturing Bale's various features, but collectively something doesn't look quite right. Perhaps it's the likeness in the eyes, the gaunt, lean looking face, or just my terrible eyesight?
Between the two of us buddy we have 20 / 20 vision . You are correct about the EB sculpt of Bale being off , its a debate that ran rampant in the early days of this figure but so is the HT sculpt . Both sculpts are off but in opposite directions with EB having the right eye color but at the end of the day i dont hold much attention toward the sculpt just the figure in its on screen persona . Hope you had a good holiday buddy ..
@@waynesbutler G'day Curtis! I've never used the Bale sculpt on the figure as, like you, it's all about Batman for me. No one has truly nailed Bale's (full face) likeness. My personal favourite is the BW sculpt that comes with the Hot Toys Armoury set, it was an improved version of the DX12 portrait. Enjoy the rest of your Christmas mate and all the very best for the new year - fingers crossed we will see at least a cameo from you with the 1/4 Spider-Man
I have this figure. Still very happy with it. I agree with you about the belt. The magnets holding the cape are also not the best. One modification that I did was to fill up the crotch a bit. It was way too flat. Looking forward to more reviews in 2020!
Yes. This is one of those figures that needs a little surgery but after that, it really is a terrific piece. I trimmed some of the sponge from the abs to make him look less tubby around that area and then used some of that sponge to assist the codpiece.
I put the Enterbay Bruce Wayne sculpt on the NECA figure and it looks amazing. Neck joint is a bit of a pain to get out but once you do the head sculpt fits perfectly. Looks like it was made for the figure.
Sounds like an awrsome custom. NECA are difficult figures to work with. The head sculpt on my Christopher Reeve Superman 1/4 scale is shocking for posing.
If only the batcowl on the side was big like hot toys/ the chest could be bigger and the bale head sculpt could be a little better other then that it's pretty much perfect
Missing one little batarang. I thought it came with three but it came with 4 :(. Is there a difference in colour between Enterbays and HTs Batarangs? Enterbay has no replacement parts
Absolutely brilliant review man. You’ve just made me pick one up! 🙈 I want to get a long custom black velvet cape, can you recommend one and where to buy? Also, want to make a custom base too, if you might know someone that might make one? Thanks and love the content!
@@deanknight333 thanks man. I found a Jaxon one that looks to be available on Toys Wonderland. Does it need any further mods in your view? Custom headsculpt etc? Im speaking to Glen about a custom base!

Sweet video Dean. Love this enterbay batman. Seeing it in person was a real treat!

@@silvervalleystudios2486 I agree, some joints are really tight and some are usually loose like the knees. Standing them can be a pain.

I picked up the Neca 1/4 Batman Begins for 20$ at my local mall.

Such an amazing figure!! Batman is the greatest comic book character ever.
Where can I buy that cape for my Dark Knight it is amazing how it drapes

Awesome James. The capes sometimes show up on Ebay. Unreal toys might make them or Jaxon. Failing that, you can get some black velvet and make one.

Awesome figure, awesome collection. 🤘🏽
Man that figure is beautiful, i cant afford one so i am stuck with the neca one (which is great in its own right tho) :-)
The nose tip is too long it needs to be smaller, round and smoother
