    Decades later I wrote on a TV special where Fabian was a guest star. Fabian mpressed me as being very humble and was a joy to work with. ...Rowby.

    Fabian was a gentleman, not impressed with himself, and did his best always. He suspected his success might not last long but he was ready to do his best if it did last long.

      And Fabian is still going strong in the “Remember When Nostalgia” circuit playing to sold out theaters, resorts, Vegas venues etc. He represents 1/3 of the 3 teen idols from So Philly still touring & enjoying as much if not more fame & fortune in their later years as they did in their heyday. He joined Bobby Rydell and Frankie Avalon to make up the threesome. Sadly, as I write this in May of 2022, Bobby Rydell has just passed away. Not sure if there are plans to continue shows with the remaining two singers.

      He was superb in an episode of Bus Stop where he played a psychopathic killer. He deserved an Emmy nomination for it. The episode was directed by Robert Altman and caused a furor as being "too violent".

    Judge Stout was the first African American female elected to any judge position in the US and the first to serve on the Supreme Court of ANY state. Good for her!

    Two of the regular panel members were pushing their luck in this episode: Dorothy Killgallen spoke about a 'tenuous product' and was corrected by John Daly for that rude remark while Bennett Cerf tried to slip in a question that can't be answered yes or no and he too got a slap-down from the moderator. Maybe those two appeared too often and became complacent. I think Arlene Francis saves the show, especially this episode with her quip about passing the bar.

      The 'tenuous product' comment wasn't rude at all. It was a misunderstanding on her part. That's all. When Daly provided the clarification, you can immediately hear her say, "oh", demonstrating her confusion.

      Most of them of that time are. The "oldies" radio request stations I listen to are not receiving calls for many of them, and that includes Elvis. Most requests are for late 60's and up.

    Shelley Berman was the last person from the panel to pass away. He died in 2017 at age 92 (1925-2017.)

    This must have been late 1959, because the movie Fabin make with Bing Crosby was called Flying High and that was released in 1960

      Was it perhaps "High Time" about a successful businessman going back to college? It was for Gary Cooper but he got sick. If you can find it somewhere, check it out. It has some great bits.

      It’s amazing how nice she looked throughout the entire series. About 1959 she looked very good at 52. No Botox and not to mention she had class and was a strong personality. Feminism fixed a lot of that.

    Always interesting to see the "pretty boy or boys" of the generation. Frank Sinatra held that title, the aforementioned Tab Hunter, Pat Boone, Donny Osmond, David Cassidy, etc. I guess the latest is One Direction.
    They all "flash" for a short time and kind of disappear, except maybe Frankie, he lasted longer.

    In answer to Bennett's question, Fabian said that his "real first name" is, in fact, Fabian. According to Wikipedia, his "real" first name is Fabiano. But that's a mere quibble.

      I don’t mind the K family. Can’t bear to watch their show but (as well as making themselves rich) they have brought millions into the US economy and each of them quietly supports a slew of local and international charities.
      It is not popular to like them but I look at what they do off-camera.
