(Sorry for the late comment) And also for noticing the bass I think most reaction channels tend to somewhat ignore the bass playing probably because it's hard to hear in some songs. I'm just happy when John Deacon gets the attention he deserves
There are no second stringers in this group. Everyone comes together for perfect, clean, clear, top shelf performances. An amazing collection of musicians.
Brian May is really into wildlife conservation and my daughter was at work realese from college.a few years ago. She went to a wild life rescue in Weybridge, Surrey, England,.and Brian May lives nearby and popped in a few times to have a chat and a cup of coffee with staff and volunteers, and to see what animals have been brought into the rescue. He was so lovely and down to earth and really cares for all animals.
Ready Freddie! Queen is a sum total of its' parts, and Brian, Roger, and John also were skilled musicians. Bri once said The Miracle was his favorite because they collectively wrote all the songs, as opposed to individually. Roger Taylor could hit those high notes, whether in harmony or when given the heads up by Freddie 👍
Roger Taylor is not credited enough for amazing voice and also the fact he sings at an angle. I am so gutted I never got to see them live. Just missed the boat
That distinctive sound Brian May makes with his guitar, just awesome! He made that guitar with his father in the family shed/workshop! He took it everywhere! I have been listening to Queen ever since I was 7 years old, which by estimate is 41 years ago! Damn! Queen, Bowie, Marc Bolan & T-Rex! Great era in music with the next step in the rock family tree! Many many more bands to mention! This song was one of my first introductions to rock, which drove my parents nuts because I kept playing it over and over on my portable tape player! Fab times!
When we won the JV Conference Basketball Championship in High School (when this song came out) we rocked on a Boombox "We will Rock You/We are the Champions" on the entire 40 mile bus trip home! Still a great memory!
I love Brian May's playing, he makes the guitar sing and Freddie's singing in this shows his voice so well. One of my favourite Queen songs as like you said its uplifting and boosts your confidence. Your reactions were brilliant sweetheart, you have a wonderful way of describing different elements of the song that makes me think in a way I have rarely thought before. God bless you all love hugs and peace to everyone Mary-Ellen UK
When France won the cup in 1998, we listened this song we did celebration outside, people were all together, dancing and singing 🤩❤️ What a good memory for me ❤️🤗
It been a while since you done a Queen song.... and this is one of their song that will go on and on well into the future... I saw the full band, back in the day 4 times.. still to this day the best live band I've ever seen.... 🤘🙏
Played at every high school since…. And “Another One Bites the Dust”. It’s funny, the songs played at my daughters high school graduation in may were the same as what were played at mine in 1997! 😂
Our teacher played this when I was in fifth grade and the class won the field day. We still feel like champions. I had a cast on but the teacher still made ME feel like a champion.
I love how much u dug this song and how it made you smile queen are class and are gonna live forever!! This song at this moment caught me off guard now I'm in tears I like to think Freddie kept on fighting till the end!! For me he is still missed 😢
I haven't heard the studio version of this song in a long time. Thank you. Freddie usually plays piano on this song live so probably also in the studio for this take. I checked your Queen playlist and surprise of surprises, you have never reacted to the best live performance by any band in my opinion which is Queen: White Queen live at Odeon, Hammersmith 1975. It will blow your mind.
Ahhh, the boys. My very favorite band. They have so many fantastic songs that were never hits, and many of those tracks are my favorites. Queen's approach to composition and production was incredible, and innovative. So meticulous and intentional. There's a reason they have the "Queen sound". They did a lot with vocal layering, and relied a lot on room ambiance while recording. I'm SO glad people are starting to see how essential they ALL were to the whole. Freddie was a one-off fantastic frontman, but Brian as their guitarist wrote some of their very best songs, Roger could bang out just about any style on those drums (and sing those high falsettos...listen to "In the Lap of the Gods"), and John had such a precision on the bass, it was ridiculous. Love these guys. Enough fangirling! Listen to more Queen, seriously. Pick a number not as popular, you'll be blown away...
You have so much to enjoy about queen. Welcome to arguably the greatest band ever and without doubt the greatest lead singer of all time Freddie Mercury. So many of their songs are not just hits but evidence of masters of their art. Enjoy and watching reaction videos is like almost experiencing the songs for the time for me
I love this! Thank you! I still listen to Queen and BeeGees regularly...probably my favorites. I remember what others were saying that this was at all the football games. I wish I could go back.
Queen still are one of the best bands rock ever produced! You might also want to check out: "Fat Bottom Girls", "Bicycle Race" and "Radio Ga-Ga". Pure perfection!
Great reaction to a great classic! It took me years to understand, that the beat of this song is actually a waltz. High quality song writing, isn‘t ist?
Freddy... his voice was one in a trillion... such talent. I am always struck by some sadness that he died so young. Love Queen, been a fan since mid 70s. Your reaction is just awesome. You became a fan day one hearing them, as did all of us older folks.
Iconic Queen & this song usually follows We Will Rock You!! How about some secret gems by Queen - DEAD ON TIME, IT’S LATE, BRIGHTON ROCK, & LIAR, MY FAIRY KING. Thanks for your reaction & doing Queen! 🎆 🏆 🔥 🎉 👑
@@suem6004 Never put Freddie and martel in the same sentence. Freddie's voice is unmatched. Martel"s voice is flat and he ALWAYS sounds like monk without balls.
Gone way too soon was Freddie Mercury. The man could feel music and used his voice to fit the lyrics and tone of a song. He is 💯 believable in every performance. And the rest of the band were all brilliant as well. We tend to focus on Freddie but Roger, Brian and John were such a huge part of this band, it literally takes each one of them to bring the whole sound and experience of Queen. I still love them today, I think they are relevant today, but they were really relevant in those days when they were creating these songs, either individually, or later as a group. Absolutely magical times. I may be “older” now but I never regret that I grew up to this caliber of music, it was a special time in music, and I wish we could go back to some of the more raw talent and sound that we had then. ❤️
Just luv u and ur reactions Jay! Even on radio We Are The Champions was always paired with We Will Rock You. Both too short for me cuz I want to hear more🥰 Would luv u to add YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND to ur Queen reactions. One of my favorites written by John Deacon to his wife Veronica and they're still married 46 yrs and 6 kids later. Also you shared Live Aid but I don't think you've seen the RADIO GAGA official video??? Or DRAGON ATTACK live from Montreal. AND last but not least Roger Taylor singing lead to I'M IN LOVE WITH MY CAR. Thanks again. Blessings!🙏 KILLER QUEEN/I'M IN LOVE WITH MY CAR (live from Montreal) YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND DRAGON ATTACK (live from Montreal)
I will highly recommend you to react to live version of this song!! If you want goosebumps so you should definitely react to the We are the champion live (any version)
I wish Jay would react to Queen's 'Love Of My Life', because Jay seems to really connect to deep, heartfelt, emotional love songs, and this one is one of the most beautiful
Queen, the champions... all said. This year Queen has 50 years band anniversary but at the same time in November the 30th anniversary of Freddie's death.
I live this band because they did it straight. A band that promoted love, understanding, and positivity.
You’ve earned an A+ on this reaction for noting the lead guitar work near the end of the song. Good job Sir
The great Brian May, 🎸
(Sorry for the late comment) And also for noticing the bass I think most reaction channels tend to somewhat ignore the bass playing probably because it's hard to hear in some songs. I'm just happy when John Deacon gets the attention he deserves
Queen is Timeless ♥️🏆
Freddy and his voice just wow 🔥👍

My favorite Queen song by a hair. Love em all.
What a performer. One of the best.

There are so many amazing components to this song, but that guitar is SICK!!!!!

This is usually a partner song with We Will Rock You. Loved the wind up.
Haven't heard this one in a while. I got goosebumps. When a song gives you goosebumps, they did it right!!
When we won the JV Conference Basketball Championship in High School (when this song came out) we rocked on a Boombox "We will Rock You/We are the Champions" on the entire 40 mile bus trip home! Still a great memory!

Thank you Mary Ellen. Love, hugs and peace to you as well.👋🏾💞🎶. Sabrina-Los Angeles
Yes - more appreciation for the BAND - and especially Brian!
When France won the cup in 1998, we listened this song we did celebration outside, people were all together, dancing and singing 🤩❤️ What a good memory for me ❤️🤗
They definitely commanded the audience on every song 🎧
How could anyone look away when Queen was on stage? Impossible

Freddy Mercury is one of the few I really miss... Queen is one of a few groups I never got to see in concert.
" i just need to get out of this cell." He's free from the torture of his childhood abuse. He said more in his songs than people want to admit.

Again, at our high school football games, our band used to play this during intermission at halftime and when we won!

They are the Queens of anthem rock!
Goosebumps! The soaring lyrics. Chills!
This song pumps me up!
This and the whole Live Aid performance was the bomb, this song at live aid couldn’t be better.
Wow it's been ages since I've seen this particular performance.
Do you not notice anything missing at the end of this song? Lol
I ABSOLUTELY LUV QUEEN!!!!! 👍🥰👍🥰👍🥰👍🥰👍🥰 I use to BLAST them on my stereo, to the MAX, when my mom was at work. 😆😆😆
Such an incredible talent, it is heartbreaking that we lost him so young.
Thay broke the mold wene god created freddie he was and still is unique
I wish he'd been happier... But it does seem that angst produces art. I think of Vangogh and Beethoven.
Mark Morrison:Return of the Mack!
Always here for some Queen!!!!❤
Yes Queen is back, thank you 🙏👑
This song is a classic! 🏆🥇

I wish Jay would react to Queen's 'Love Of My Life', because Jay seems to really connect to deep, heartfelt, emotional love songs, and this one is one of the most beautiful

Queens "we will rock you" gives me Goosebumps, it's only fault is that its only a couple of minutes long.
Sung all the time at football matches here in Great Britain, especially Glasgow Rangers
It’s a piano 🎹 and Freddie is playing
