Wow! Praying my son will watch. The world took him in when he was much younger. I'm very much appreciating the depth of understanding you're opening to us. I'm watching for my own heart & to verbally share with others, but also with prayer for my son's benefit, hearing it thro' his heart, as best I might (should he see his need). We must repent our sins every day . And learn from our mistakes , learning the progression of Our Lord and he's son and savior Jesus Christ, life was simple we as humans created our own destruction
This is Soo true! God will take us over the same ground again & again till we do learn. But if we harden our hearts to the Holy Spirit's Voice, we may one day find it's forever too late to change. God help us!

The reason why God doesn't arbitrarily act to stop suffering, violence, and other bad things is because he gave authority over the earth to man. Man sinned and the broke the covenant he had with God, so the authority was passed down to the devil. Because of this righteous man has to work in conjunction with God through prayer in order for God to intervene, until the kingdom of God comes and Jesus Christ is ruling on this earth.
Isaiah is not asking, though I suppose it could be a matter of personal perspective but Isaiah is reminding him of his shortcomings because the devil got caught up in pride, and desired Gods power and position. He still does. He also wants people to worship and praise him like they do God. He mimicks everything Jesus Christ does. The Prophet didn't have to ask, God spoke to this Prophet all the time, and the fact that this Prophet was having a discussion with the devil reveals God had been speaking to Isaiah about the devil. Isaiah was the mouth piece of God as Prophets are. So God was using Isaiah to put the devil in his place, remind him of his wrongs, and also to write it in the bible so we could read it and learn from it.
