I love his vocals of course and the high notes, but my favorite part was mitch's smile just before camera stopped
Wait for it....
This affectionately called the "where is Kevin?"video. They sang that first "church" part to allow him to put his cello away. If you notice when the Aha song starts Scott has moved closer to Mitch to make room for Kevin
It seems that Mitch had pretty bad jet lag, and had downed 2 Red Bulls. Hence the energy. The opening music, "Christus Factus Est", was Avi's idea, from his days in chamber choir in college. After he left PTX, they used "Greensleeves" (which did not work well) or just launched directly into "Aha!". BTW, "Aha!" is a cover of Imogen Heap's song.
some stars use cocaine to get them going that man drinks 2 red bulls on jet lag lmaooo
One of the best fan-cam recordings I have ever heard. Mitch did indeed blow it out the water!
There is a studio video of them doing this song. You can understand the words better and they get to play zombies!
Kevin was putting his cello away from the previous song but he was a part of the song. The camera never makes it to him, but you hear him! Thanks for your reaction to this! Not an original, though!
ahh i thought it was original well it was still amazing, thank you for watching
Loved your reaction. The ultimate Mitch slap!!! Keep the ptx reactions coming!
Avi is classically/operatically trained, so the beginning where they were singing Ave Verum Corpus, was right up his alley.
Here is a video of him singing this song with a small group from A Capella Academy Choir.

Avi was the brainchild in forming this training facility for youth who want to learn to sing A Capella singing.
In this song Scott and Kirstie doing all the syncopated background parts is hard to do in a studio environment where you can do it over and adjust things electronically in mixing. The difficulty of doing this live is about a 20 on a scale of 1 to 10. Crowd noise, sound delays (just a fact with sound traveling through cords and wi-fi) the adrenaline of being in front of a crowd, and anything else that can happen live, this is a whole other level talent and discipline. If any of them get off track or off beat doing this song it could turn into a train wreck in a hurry. I don't think there are too many people, outside of these special five, that could do this and do it that well.
“Ah ha… what is going on?!” 😂 that’s exactly how I was the first time I saw this masterpiece
The first part is church Music - "Christus Factus Est" from Anton Bruckner.
This is an Imogene Heap song. . They have a video that is a scary Halloween video with this song. It’s fun to,watch it so you know what the song is about
The beginning wasn't part of the song, Avi wanted to add it and killed it. There are other performances with it and an older official video without the intro, but some acting involved. Have fun
Is not just the mechanics of this song is also the transmission. There is not one without the other.
There is a video with this song and is more clear than this. However, a live performance is always priceless.
Excellent job señor! Thank you!
😉
You should watch the video they did for this cover. It's so fun!!!
Enjoyed your reaction to a great Pentatonix performance. They did Telephone at the same concert which is also great to watch if you can find the recording.
Suggest you also listen to the original Aha video - it is musical, easier to understand, has a plot and is very clever. But not insane which is why everyone prefers this phone recording of a live concert taken some years later when they all knew the song backwards AND Mitch had a Red Bull boost.
@@RadioTeo I'm not sure if this is a good advert for Red Bull or not.
@@katherineeasteal662 ain't no such thing as bad advert. Is a energy drink after all is supposed to give you some energy😂😂😂
I was trying to explain to my daughter who walked in on this, my big smiles and what was happening, having watched it so many times before. I wasn't disappointed by your reaction at all. It almost seems like a rite of passage to becoming a true pentaholic. I'm glad they don't have to do these tricks every time they perform, they are so much more than this, but this really does highlight the talents of Mitch and Avi in particular. What a night. Thanks for your reaction.
Avi strained the sound system BIG TIME! And he uses his overtone singing in this - he can sing 2 notes or sounds at the same time! Try that! 😂
He did more than strain it... he blew the venue sub woofers later in the program and after that show PTX started taking extra speakers systems with them for just such an occasion.
This has an official video. It is amazing how close they sound between the two. The Mitch performance live is extra special but they are amazing at recreating everything they do in studio live.
This is Mitch: The Prayer
This is Mitch with jet lag and 2 Red Bulls: Aha! Live from the Star Vista in Singapore
There is a PTX "official video" of their cover of Aha! that's available - it's more of a "story video" than most of their videos, and Avi does some overtone singing in it that I haven't been able to hear in this live version, but that may just be because the audio isn't that great.
They are all amazing, Mitch and Avi are phenomenal, But, oh my god, it’s almost too much with that deep voice of Avi’s. Btw, Avi is releasing a new song on Tuesday 15 February at noon ET.
@@RadioTeo There is a snippet of his new song on Avi’s Instagram.; it’s hauntingly beautiful. Would love your reaction to the whole song once it’s released😀
Apparently Mitch was really badly jet lagged so he was high on redbull and it showed 😂😂
Its an Imogen Heap cover.you should watch the official video of this song as well for comparison.🙂
It's a Billie Eilish cover... in case no one mentioned. Check out official video too
@T.I Actually I totally lied. It's an Imogen Heap cover 🙄 they do a couple Billie covers though!
This man Mitch was INSANE!!! This was so awesome to watch thank you for the request and for watching!!!
