Always been a fan of seagur. But I typically go with red label bc of price. Which I have no complaints about. For the price, seagur red label is hard to beat. I usually use it for a tournament or two then respool. Invisx and abraszx are great too but only spoil them up after I’ve worked some overtime lol.
They fish are not seeing the line so much as they "feel" it ... the diameter of the line moving the water is the determining factor. Monofilament line, with smaller diameter, works just as well in most cases. In gin-clear water, on the flats, even fluoro leader must be light ... 10 lb. or less. In addition, fish can see UV light, and this "test" only used human vision.
A big factor for me is how line casts and holds up....if it has a tendency to form loops out on the water beyond the wnd of my rod based on the memory of the spool.I guide with light gear usually between 4 and 6lb test on high mountain lakes and trout streams.Maybe I'll give this a try on my personal gear.
It doesn't matter. Fish don't really give a shit about line, only in the most pressured catch and release waters. Even then, the only reason why they become spooked is because the presence of it, not the look of it. Go underwater and rip a crankbait past you, the heavier the line the more resistance. The more resistance, the more the fish can sense something is there. Not by vision but by their lateral line. Which is how they hunt on the dark. I think diameter of the line is almost 100% more important than color. Of course, I'm no expert. But I did study biology of fish, and the displacement of water is always the biggest factor in what a fish sees as a threat. This is also why when 1 fish gets spooked, the rest follow suit.
I say in the video "Based on our human eye and the camera lens". Again, based on our human eye and camera lens, clear is clear and green is green. No matter whether clear or stained water.
I love all of the so called "pros" making videos of best color line to use and they all have moss green for dark water... which is the worst color to use and can be seen if not next to some underwater grass....you fish with dark green bait in dark water do you not, and the fish can see that right.

Have you tried the seagur basics? I’m impressed with it for the price.
They can see and get spooked by the line but they can't see the big shiny pointy hook?

From what I understand color tint is best for monofilament. The only tint that seems to work on fluorocarbon (mono as well) is pink from what I hear.
Great underwater comparison! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Tim, I’m working on a few more line comparisons currently.

What was line #5?
No line, lol. 😄
Cool channel!
Please spread the word and share may videos!
Was that an add? Tatsu is #1
You think fish see the same as us> And now do this in stained water.
