Good to hear from you davey!
Thanks for all you do. Cant wait for bidding wars on Sunday as auctions close. Also to see whats available in your store when i get access for my tier. I am getting better and better at grafting each year thanks to your videos. Keep up the good work !
Congrats on 100k subscribers! I'll be checking out your webstore when the scions are live. Thanks for being you as well, I really enjoy your channel :)
Great job, man!
Videos of random apple tasters on the street is a cool idea.
Yeah, it would be really fun I think. Head to heads with commercial apples might be fun too, but it isn't really fair to put fresh apples up against industrial ag stored apples.
Got your email and checked out the auctions. Very cool you’re sharing all your work with us!
I planted my first trees last season. Time to revisit your grafting playlist, i want to try these!
Thanks! I tried grafting for the first time last year because I wanted to try some of your varieties. I had nearly 100% success so far. Hopefully they all survived the winter. I'm confident enough to buy some of the auction varieties this year.
Congrats. There are plenty of fun varieites in the webstore this year too.
Brilliant! I hope you make more bracelets. I loved mine. ❤❤❤
I haven't even thought about those for a long time. could happen....
Great work. For interested people: An early investigation reported that the columnar growth habit was controlled by a dominant gene, called Co (Lapins, K. O. (1976). Inheritance of compact growth type in apple. J. Am. Soc. Hortic. Sci. 101, 133-135)
Дякую ..за новi сорти яблук ..❤❤❤..буду чекати коли вашi новинки дiйдуть i до моi краiни...
Pomegranate crab.❤❤❤
Thats RAD man! If you had like a spot at a farmers market where you could have apple tasting (and shoot videos of reactions) and an option to buy or be on a waiting list for a ready to plant tree, I bet it would be AWESOME! Would be funny to be setup right next to a Honeycrisp vendor LOL
Yeah, so much fun. Someday I hope.
Un saludo de Guatemala
It's great to see grafted trees being made available through nurseries like Cummins, it's going to make these varieties a whole new audience. If someone comes up with a way of doing apple tissue culture and releases it to the public, it would really put hobby apple breeding into overdrive. You could create 1000's of trees from a single bud, from there they could be grown out on their own wood or grown for scion production. Its one aspect of the hobby I'd love to get more into but don't really have the time for at the moment.
I would think that is already pretty accessible. I'm not down to learn it though and I don't even have grid power or decent buildings, so climate control of any kind is pretty much out. also, there is a whole lot of other considerations, like growing out thousands of trees big enough to sell, then selling and shipping them, then regs around that.... it is another full time job altogether. Outsourcing all of that might work though. Ive had at least one person offer to do tissue culture and I'm sure there are more and more that do it as a business.

Nice apples! I hope the auction goes well! Is there a European source for your apples yet, Steven? Cheers from Berlin, Alex
Are there any early season varieties that you've released so far?
Twang, august to early sept and Integrity, late august to early sept. Cherry Crush is relatively early, sept I think, maybe into early oct. can't remember.
Thanks for the Update. Is pinker lady the apple you compared to Lucy glo or have you not released it yet?
No, that apple is much darker red inside and more balanced. I've had crop failures two years in a row on that one, hoping to get some fruit for further assessment thing season.
I'm sorry to hear that maybe this year will be a good year. You could be so kind as to share a stick with me and I would give you my honest opinion lol. I'm Just Joking but I have trialed California fig seedlings for people to see if they are common and how their flavor is outside of the fig wasp area.
