This is RP so it should be compared to real life. If you spike the middle of a freeway with no signaling to other cars like normal drivers or police cars involved in the pursuit, you will kill a bunch of people. Blowing the tires of cars at 160mph will literally make these cars roll for dozens of meters. Not only the suspect, but everyone behind, including the cops. That guy IRL would kill the suspects, a bunch of other fellow officers, the pedestrians that would be hit by the out of control cars, the innocent people that was driving and got hit by the out of control cars AND HIMSELF with that move. Complete bullshit. IRL that move would kill dozens.
It is the same as ramming a car or a motorcycle with 100+mph. The problem is that the cops have literally 0 consequences for these shit. After Summit talked to Bass I saw the phone call he had with Ripley. It was basically "Was it NVL from your side?" "No" "Ok I believe you" then Bass watches the video pauses it when sum is going 140mph and Ripley is 5 meters in front of the car, says just a "My fault I allowed the spikes did not realize they were going that fast" and it ended there. The fact that in Summit's POV, Ripley went downed but in Ripley's he did not because of desync speaks on it's own on how close to danger he was.
Cars in this game dont act like cars in real life though so there is no reason to treat the situation like real life. Also the cops cant communicate with the AI so they cant let normal cars know that they have placed spike strips.
I've never seen a better definition of NVL than literally running into the middle of a highway to lock yourself into animation and place spikestrip on a highway. Actually the most ridiculous thing I've seen a cop do

I always respect Baas for trying to talk to people and work shitty situations out. There's was ruling that no spikes were needed if a Interceptor was chasing criminals. Since those Interceptor certs people are prepared to chase class A & above. But heyyy guess WHAT! After 60 or 90 laps on Interceptor trials (over n over), I beat a time record, now I'm cert to drive like a pepega, And abuse it against criminals using C or B. class.
Sum can shoot well but always ends up taking unbalanced fights. Would love to have seen him abuse the third person camera there (like the officer was doing) and stay in cover until the cop was within effective Uzi range.
This server turned into every other rp server. Complete dogwater gta online public server bs. No one is innocent in the decline of the server but this is the most popular server ever. There should be a larger team managing it not 4 or 5 people.
Here the thing as someone who’s knows pursuit SoPs IRL (admittedly UK regs) Ripley would have not met the minimum requirement for authorisation to spike. Also in doing so broke half a dozen SoPs (UK-which are broadly in line with US) Also Ripley’s justification after the fact is something very common we see of civilians who try and explain away decision making retrospectively in broad reactionary terms. Whereas IRL we train for the ‘what if’s’ in order to control as many of the variables as possible for officer, public and suspects safety. So it’s all very well saying ‘traffic was light’ but you still have a 2ton vehicle barring down at you at 140mph with zero hardcover and stationary civilians next to your spikes. Just because it all worked out in the end isn’t vindication that a correct decision was made. Essentially Ripley relied on a lot of luck, something we try to train out irl. Now ultimately it doesn’t matter because this is a game and decisions have no real lasting consequences. So the argument then is is this a real RP server where we try to adhere to IRL codes of practice as much as possible, within the confines of game mechanics of course or is it more fluid than that. Ultimately that’s down to the individuals take

Yes, you have the shot on a suspect who is threatening another person's safety and let's say they do everything that would justify the shoot (just trying to make this simple for arguments sake) if you don't know what's behind your target, you don't take the shot unless it's absolutely necessary. This is why police officers don't go around carrying fucking hand cannons, because if they did have to shoot, they need to make sure their bullets aren't going through 3 different rooms in case they miss.
They really should put some rules when you are injured or even die you should be at hospital like 10 min cooldown or something... Thats my biggest negative of this server that deaths or serious injuries dont matter at all

Nopixel was a huge rp server before summit even joined and it will continue to be if he left, also the cop “breaking the rules” has a pretty big viewer base too since he’s been on the server longer than summit

Had a few rough scenarios starting off. Was breached at a fleeca for taking too long (the hack was scuffed, we had to do it once and then wait 5 minutes to do it again). We killed the hostage and 2 police. They had a meeting about it and we were let go and given a laptop. Still there were reprucussions and we didn’t pay for their mistakes. I am on the whitelist now and it just seems impossible to win.
Boosting and everything went fine.. UNTIL the spike strip.. that was like the one downside to this entire thing. As for his gunplay.. Idk, I think he does really good with an AR like he was with the AK. I just think the SMG's are ass from a range like that. He does good.
I just wish that there was any sort of actual punishment instead of, 1-"Did you do this?" 2-"No I didn't" 1-"Oh, ok. Go back on duty." @Putcher Hanzup Thats the idea, the job of the police cars is to control the chase, using blockades to send the suspect to the road they want. You don't throw the spikes and pray, you force the suspect to go in the direction of the spike or lose speed turning around to avoid it

If you apply to be a cop in a roleplay server there's a high likelihood you need to feel the power the role gives you. Definitely not all but a high majority. I have a fairly chill server I play on but even it has some bad apples and even cops just choosing poor decisions IC.
I hate to be the one to break it but Summit needs to stop expecting good quality RP from this server. The server is completely full of FailRP to anyone who actually RP's in the GTA scene, servers like NoPixel are not RP, they're just a enhanced GTA Online.

They lockpick a car and have to drop it off at a specific location in order to get GNE. The higher rank the car, the more difficult it is, going from locals spawning to fight you and multiple locals spawning with guns for a A+. Also, they have trackers on them which a hacker has to disable. The better the hacker, the longer between pings of the cars location for the cops and the easier to have them not catch you.
Funny after a year later and prob 2-3 years later. The server is still JUST as bad if not worse. Cops still go Ham do stupid shit. And couldn't "RP" to save their life...Koil should just rebrand his server at this point to the meme known as Copixel.
A simple fix is to make actions have consequences. Cop wants to spike in the middle of the highway? Fine, then CK/Perma kill him when he's hit dont' just hospital>respawn.

That spike trip would've caused a whole bunch of damage. IRL that cop would probably face prison time himself. Endangering passer-by and fellow cops, not just the suspect. It's a car robbery, they ain't murderers, you don't spike strip someone at 100+ mph, with cop cars straight on their ass and pedestrians in every direction. If that happened IRL, the cops would spike like 10 other cars before they even saw Summit coming, then after spiking summit, they wouldn't have the time to pick the strip up before their OWN fellow cops ran over it too.. which would lead to like mass collateral damage. Losing control of your car at 100+ mph is near enough a death sentence on a freeway.
Well lets be honest, it is a bit tough if you are in a car that cannot go faster than 80mph and you get 2 interceptors and regular cop car ( all cars can go 150+) and even a request for a heli was made. You simply cannot get away in such a case. Now this chase where the officer clearly is using NVL. I think everybody would be a little upset. He wants to have fun but if you feel like the otherside is cheating to get the W it is kind of tough. I would simply have quit the chase and surrendered after the spike strip, less time in jail and less fun RP for the cops.

This server turned into every other rp server. Complete dogwater gta online public server bs. No one is innocent in the decline of the server but this is the most popular server ever. There should be a larger team managing it not 4 or 5 people.
Here the thing as someone who’s knows pursuit SoPs IRL (admittedly UK regs) Ripley would have not met the minimum requirement for authorisation to spike. Also in doing so broke half a dozen SoPs (UK-which are broadly in line with US)
Also Ripley’s justification after the fact is something very common we see of civilians who try and explain away decision making retrospectively in broad reactionary terms. Whereas IRL we train for the ‘what if’s’ in order to control as many of the variables as possible for officer, public and suspects safety.
So it’s all very well saying ‘traffic was light’ but you still have a 2ton vehicle barring down at you at 140mph with zero hardcover and stationary civilians next to your spikes. Just because it all worked out in the end isn’t vindication that a correct decision was made. Essentially Ripley relied on a lot of luck, something we try to train out irl.
Now ultimately it doesn’t matter because this is a game and decisions have no real lasting consequences. So the argument then is is this a real RP server where we try to adhere to IRL codes of practice as much as possible, within the confines of game mechanics of course or is it more fluid than that. Ultimately that’s down to the individuals take
It's the same reasoning behind when you would fire or not fire your weapon. Yes, you have the shot on a suspect who is threatening another person's safety and let's say they do everything that would justify the shoot (just trying to make this simple for arguments sake) if you don't know what's behind your target, you don't take the shot unless it's absolutely necessary.
This is why police officers don't go around carrying fucking hand cannons, because if they did have to shoot, they need to make sure their bullets aren't going through 3 different rooms in case they miss.
They really should put some rules when you are injured or even die you should be at hospital like 10 min cooldown or something...

Nopixel was a huge rp server before summit even joined and it will continue to be if he left, also the cop “breaking the rules” has a pretty big viewer base too since he’s been on the server longer than summit

Can’t beat the way the pub server police was at first. Chill fun af and most Ls but still enjoyable lol
Had a few rough scenarios starting off. Was breached at a fleeca for taking too long (the hack was scuffed, we had to do it once and then wait 5 minutes to do it again). We killed the hostage and 2 police. They had a meeting about it and we were let go and given a laptop. Still there were reprucussions and we didn’t pay for their mistakes. I am on the whitelist now and it just seems impossible to win.
Boosting and everything went fine.. UNTIL the spike strip.. that was like the one downside to this entire thing. As for his gunplay.. Idk, I think he does really good with an AR like he was with the AK. I just think the SMG's are ass from a range like that. He does good.
I just wish that there was any sort of actual punishment instead of, 1-"Did you do this?" 2-"No I didn't" 1-"Oh, ok. Go back on duty." If there was punishment there would be a lot less of this shit because it would be drilled into their brains to not fuck up or else they going to get in trouble. You don't throw the spikes and pray, you force the suspect to go in the direction of the spike or lose speed turning around to avoid it

If you apply to be a cop in a roleplay server there's a high likelihood you need to feel the power the role gives you. Definitely not all but a high majority. I have a fairly chill server I play on but even it has some bad apples and even cops just choosing poor decisions IC.

It took me a few minutes to write this so any cop rp'er lovers, i watch Five0Anth0 who was the first person i watched in gta v rp and now i added Buddha and Crystalist. See the connection! These 3 streamers love having fun and dont take it too serious with the exception of Buddha and the occasional mald for scuff lol, theyre all great examples of having fun!

They lockpick a car and have to drop it off at a specific location in order to get GNE. The higher rank the car, the more difficult it is, going from locals spawning to fight you and multiple locals spawning with guns for a A+. Also, they have trackers on them which a hacker has to disable. The better the hacker, the longer between pings of the cars location for the cops and the easier to have them not catch you.
Funny after a year later and prob 2-3 years later. The server is still JUST as bad if not worse. Cops still go Ham do stupid shit. And couldn't "RP" to save their life...Koil should just rebrand his server at this point to the meme known as Copixel.
A simple fix is to make actions have consequences.

Losing control of your car at 100+ mph is near enough a death sentence on a freeway.

Well lets be honest, it is a bit tough if you are in a car that cannot go faster than 80mph and you get 2 interceptors and regular cop car ( all cars can go 150+) and even a request for a heli was made. You simply cannot get away in such a case. Now this chase where the officer clearly is using NVL. I think everybody would be a little upset.
He wants to have fun but if you feel like the otherside is cheating to get the W it is kind of tough.
I would simply have quit the chase and surrendered after the spike strip, less time in jail and less fun RP for the cops.
