I have "You Don't Know Jack!" on CD-ROM and most of its sequels as well, it is a fun interactive video game program series. Berkeley was its original publisher while it was actually produced by Jellyvision. In fact around the middle of the first decade of the 2000s Berkeley dropped YDKJ from its own catalog list, so Jellyvision began to publish their games as well as produce them. Around 2010 Jellyvision had a corporate name change to JackBox Games and they sell their CDs and DVDs online.
I can spend hours watching this show, which gives me insight into how computer technology developed over the decades. The people on the show don't know which products will succeed or fail. Everybody just knows that two years in the future all the rules will have changed.
1995, the year of Command & Conquer, Warcraft 2, Full Throttle, The Dig, Star Wars Dark Forces just to name a few...and these are the games they went with xD Then again, these were "serious" people I suppose!
Loved You don’t know Jack back then... I really wish they would make another version of this game that does NOT require the use of cell phones, I’d really like to have it, but that kills it for me. If they had it on Xbox or something and allowed people to use normal controllers I’d buy it instantly.
If you want a rare treat Paul Schindler has a personal website. It is schindler.org. And the best part is that it looks like it was created and hasn't changed since 1995
As 'childishć and' ridiculous' many of these technologies feel from a 2023-view - it was a needed pathway to where we are today - and today's technology will appear at least as childish and ridiculous from a 2050-view... 😅
Im obsessed with this show

I love Paul Schindler the exact opposite has ended up happening on everything that he predicted. He didn't get anything right.
Paul looking like Tim Dillon here.

Cybersmith went out of business in 1999. Short-lived.
Tim has something to say on everything. He can't just sit there till it's his turn.
Ah, the precursor to Jackbox.

That webcam.......$500. WHAT?! Who would be able to afford that back then? lol.
Same people who pay $1400 for a Logitech Rally today... businesses. More than pays for itself in one saved business trip.
Remember Zip drives?!
