That was great that you did the lyrics video afterwards. There is actually one up already with Seungmin, I believe, but the lyrics are the same. Considering IU wrote this in support of people who lost loved ones and dedicated the song to her idol friend who committed suicide a month before the song came out, the lyrics "watch over me" really are like that. And it also explains why its so important and powerful for many idols.
Seungmin's arrangement was beautiful. On Kingdom they were really showing off with all the rifs etc, here he kept it much smaller and for me that made it even more beautiful and emotional.
It makes perfect sense that having sung this song on Kingdom makes it special for him. That was such an amazing experience. Binnie cried while watching..not because of the song, but because of Seugmin. Seugmin got to show everyone that he really is the main vocal...not a replacement, not second best...but he shone. He worked hard for it. But he shone. And he has mentioned not even that long ago, that it was one of his best memories. So makes sense he chose this one for the first ep. My eyes definitely were not dry.
Don't think its a weekly thing though. His words seemed to indicate it isn't. We'll have to see...but no matter what the frequency...I am here for it.

Someone mentioned during Kingdom that the song was meaningful to all three members. All three groups were missing members during Kingdom. BTOB had just lost IlRoon, and Mingi and Hyunjin were both on hiatus. All three of them had separately chosen Love Poem and were surprised that they had all chosen it. Seungmin wanted it for multiple reasons. One of them being that IU is Hyunjin's favourite singer (after Seungmin 😆)

I heard in another reaction that IU wrote this song after a number of idols had committed suicide. I am sure all idols take comfort from it.
