Your cruise to Iceland reminds me of my cruise May 2023. The sea was the same way to get there from Scotland. The captain did say it was going to get rough and get ready. The NCL Prima couldn’t even dock in Reykjavik about ten days later when they were scheduled to arrive. They had to stay out at sea. Once they did arrive , it was the end of the cruise and unless you planned to stay in Reykjavik, you had to caught a plane home.
You would have thought they would have every cupboard bolted down and designed some kind of catch you could flip to stop the drawers and doors coming open. It looks like you have some kind of angrey spirt in your cabin, the way the drawers were flying onpen by themselves 😂
Wow! Can you imagine sailors in the 15 or 1600s and countering that or even crossing the ocean in the 1800s I just can’t imagine. There’s a little gadget you can put inside drawers so your kiddos can’t open them. Maybe ship should put them on the drawers in the cabins, stay safe and dry
I’m surprised they aren’t prepared with things fixed to the floor or wall, drawer catches, etc. we lived in an RV in the 70s for awhile and everything was battened down, just for driving. I think these cruise ships are negligent nd dangerous. This is just one small indicator.
What date did you encounter these severe winds? The only thing I find searching the internet are your video & 1 TikTok-er. I was curious what RCL Par had to say about this. Btw we had our Iceland-NYC cruise disrupted in Iceland due to pending hurricane force winds on 27-29 July - NCL scuttled 2 of our 3 Iceland ports as our ship skedaddled over to shelter in a Greenland fjords for 2 days. Curious about dates and different companies handling of similar situations!
Whoa! We got hit with a gust of 119knots followed by 70 knots winds between Auckland and Sydney a few nights ago ourselves. On Coral Princess. We listed 9 degrees. and it took about 45 minutes to stabilize the ship. But the winds were not sustained.
Awesome awesome awesome ! True ocean adventure! I've been on 17 cruises all over the world & have yet to meet this experience.
I love a good storm at sea.

You’d think ships would have clips on drawers etc and everything made safe for storms !
Great idea!!
Loved this video! I noticed a small tweak you could make to your thumbnails to increase clicks
Thanks for the tip!

It was no big deal. Just part of the adventure. Thanks for watching and your comments.
Did u like having your cabin at the end of ship?
yes!
I wish that I was onboard with you.
It was fun. I love being in a storm at sea.
Try sailing the Drake Shake in a much smaller ship!
That would be fun. we did go through the Drake Passage on this ship.
😮😮 I’d be so sea-sick.
Not me!

It was a storm from with hurricane force winds, not a hurricane.

Cruising can be an adventure.
Good old North Sea
Yes! It can get rough.
Wow! Hope everyone’s ok. Why did they sail through it and not around it?
We did alter course for a few hours, which put our arrival time in Iceland. behind two hours.
Wow 😮
Stay safe.
Thanks!
Time to use some tape on the drawers!
That’s what we did. Thanks for watching.
Did people get sea sick
I am sure some people were seasick.
Be Safe, oh no, they closed the buffet. Everyone will go hungry, :)
There is always somewhere to find food on a cruise ship.
Folk say stay safe but that’s out of folks choice in reality.
I love being in a storm at sea. Thanks for watching.
Where were you and what time of year? This is the info I want to know.
between Iceland and Greenland in August
No thanks!
It was a fun little storm.
