Plastic bags end up in the dump weather u clean up litter or not. Some places might have a plastic bag recycling station as well. In my State of Vermont, plastic bags at checkout were outlawed several years ago.

Hey Keren! This is just a suggestion. You being a part of a five kids and two adults family, I would suggest you start a composting bin in the back of your house. That way, you can have a vegetable/fruit garden that you can use not only at home, but also in your restaurant. I know there won't be much yield in the start. But it will definitely help you out in some way or the other.
