As an actual professional game dev, Sweet Baby Inc are not game devs. Narrative consulting would be story dev, or just "writers". Game Dev implies paws on _some_ technical element of game production like code, art, sound, etc. That's not to say that that story writers are never game devs. A lot of Indie Studios people wear many hats. Sometimes a programmer has a cool idea for a story or character (etc). But its very rare for a story person to have the technical chops to, say, write professional-caliber code.
They've worked heavily on GTA6. How I know that game will be hot garbage. Idk how bad they could screw up any storytelling there, but wisdom tells me not to underestimate malicious intent.
They did influence the direction of the game, so while they aren't any type of specialized or talented devs, they are devs... But in the direction of the garbage bin. As an actual professional game dev, Sweet Baby Inc are not game devs. Narrative consulting would be story dev, or just "writers". Game Dev implies paws on _some_ technical element of game production like code, art, sound, etc.
That's not to say that that story writers are never game devs. A lot of Indie Studios people wear many hats. Sometimes a programmer has a cool idea for a story or character (etc). But its very rare for a story person to have the technical chops to, say, write professional-caliber code.
They've worked heavily on GTA6. How I know that game will be hot garbage.
Idk how bad they could screw up any storytelling there, but wisdom tells me not to underestimate malicious intent.

To my knowledge most of the time it’s “AAA quality” so they are dropping a couple 100M and more usually. Shit take a look at what firewalk did with concord, minimum 400M but I’ve seen others say it’s much higher.

Does anyone else think it's weird that they've made diversity a moral issue of some sort? It's just the state of something. If I don't have a homogeneous group, then that group is probably more diverse. That's pretty much it. But they've made it into a sort of twisted and nonsensical morality.
Here's an example I heard once. Imagine if one day a group formed that advocated for wearing red pants. If you didn't wear red pants, they attacked you and asked the government to take action against you. Multiple corporations come out as "red pants allies" and decry the wearing of pants that are not red.
It's nonsense, isn't it? Who cares what color my pants are? But that's exactly what they're doing.
