Hey Matt, got a question about Richard, would Richard's scoliosis increasingly get worse with age, which means that he could've had a shorter life expectancy than the normal adult male monarch of the time? I've read or heard this from somewhere. Add the excess food and wine he was consuming as king, who knows?

My understanding is that the scoliosis would have pressed on his lungs more as it progressed. The research I’ve read suggests he would have had a limited lung capacity and got out of breath more quickly than others. I don’t know that it would necessarily have shortened his life though.

@@MattLewisHistory The interesting thing is whether or not Richard's kids with Joanna of Portugal would have entered their majorities by the time Richard died a natural death, which could likely mean another succession crisis once Richard dies, assuming that he dies the same age as Henry VII (he then only has 19 years to see his kids grow up and his first children with Joanna really need to be sons).
