Personally I really like Kai. It was his videos (from back when he was at Digital Rev) that made me seriously consider getting a camera in the first place and it was the entertainment value that kept me watching. Prior to that I'd briefly research the topic of photography/filmography/cameras every two or three years and quickly lose interest.
Thinking about it, I probably wouldn't be watching this video at all if it weren't for Kai and Potato Jet (I discovered your channel through Potato Jet's).

Just found this channel and I'm hooked on this guy...His delivery reminds me of a cross between Fred Rogers (of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood), and Mr. Smith, the virus in Matrix 1. Maybe it's just me...Anyway, good leads on other photog sites delivered in a kind, positive way. I like that he's not doing any hatchet jobs on anyone...there's enough of that elsewhere on the web.

Oh man! I thought my channel was a shoe-in! :-)) Just watched a couple of old videos of yours and was so touched by your authenticity. I too try to express honesty and to talk about things that are sometimes challenging to disclose. My main challenge now is frequency of my videos and really knowing which topics to focus on. My POV street shooting vids get the most views, but I also want to create videos on mindfulness and some of the healing challenges that I faced.

Dang it I didn’t make the list! It might be that I’m primarily a photographer, make videos about the a6000, and my first 3 videos the audio was as bad as a camel singing on American Idol. Anyways here’s to 2019, which may be the year I finally make the list! Have a great year my man. 👍🏻

I have to correct the Totem pole comment. In native culture, the lower the figure on the totem pole, the more revered the figure as it is the one carrying the weight of all the figures higher up on the pole which are less revered. In some cultures they reject the idea of lineage on the height of the pole with the most revered being at eye level catching the most attention. It is non-native culture that came up with the saying low man on the totem pole.Good to see you back in 2019. We went a full week and half with no posts, was beginning to think you disappeared. Congrats on reaching 20K. Starting to skyrocket! We'll all look back in 2019 when you have half a million subs and say "Remember when he had only 5000 subs....."
The native interpretation isn't the "right" one, it's the one focused on history, and heritage. The non-native interpretation is focused on present life and the conditions of being lower on the social ladder than others. When outside native culture, it's this latter meaning that's meant. It just muddies the water to introduce another interpretation to a non-native audience.

When I'm shopping for camera gear, I go watch a lot of those people. A lot were familiar, some new, which is cool. But this is the only camera channel I watch between shopping experiences. It's just too funny. And informative.
