I used to spend around 1000 per month on a spacious 1 bedroom 3rd floor flat with big living/kitchen area in Shoreditch in 2008, I know it’s a long time ago but the prices in London have gone crazy!
Summers voiceover voice is so relaxing. I know that probably sounds wierd but I mean it as a compliment lol 😊 I love watching these videos of your journey.
9:02 £6500/month for a 1bed 1bath! 😱 Bloody hell. That's ~A$3000/week or A$1500/week per person. That's like the median full-time weekly wage in Australia. If people spend about 35% of their wage on rent, you'd have to be making $4500/wk to be able to comfortably afford it.
I know it's London, but I can't imagine spending that much a week on a rented property, it's insane. You must have made some really good financial decisions to pay for it and enjoy a good lifestyle, good on you.
Wow. I would only pay those prices if I really needed to be in central London for work etc all the time. As you are travelling throughout the UK, I would look for a nice 2 bed on the perimeter of London or surrounding counties. That would be a few interesting videos - one for other parts of West or North London, another for towns outside London. Make sure you have parking with charging for the car, and access to open countryside. When the hot summer weather arrives, you don’t want to be stuck in central London
London prices are just so high! But that apartment was definitely the best one I agree. Maybe I will bump into you both one day while you are still in London 😀
Wow, the prices of those places are so high, not sure how ppl manage to rent there but having said that Sydney is not much better. I like the one that you guys liked, I thought that was the nicest eventhough it was the most expensive.
Hi Matt & Summer , wanted to check how one must travel if they reach London around 11 at night? Is it safe to take tube/bus to reach till hotel? or what would be the safest option for a family?
I get it…but why?? Even in London you can find nicer and cheaper places. In general, Central London is not any better that other areas, just a way more expensive!
A different World to me. I own (outright) a 4 bedroomed house in Italy. London is O.K. for a short stay with friends or relatives, but I prefer the pace of life where I am. With working from home the norm these days, the attraction of central properties will decrease, and the prices will stagnate.
You’re making a mistake trying to live so central and compromising on lack of space and quality. Appreciate you want to have good access to viewings but your don’t need to be that central
I was thinking £1,100 a month was ok. Then you said per week! Wow that’s so expensive.
same i had to rewind thinking i heard incorrectly and my jaw dropped

Aw thanks Raychul 😊
Feels same to me as an ASMR with a property review theme.
Like most people I am blown away by how little you get for the prices. The lower ground floor flat was the nicest of the bunch.

This is central London, other places in London are not as expensive
Yes I like the one you did too. Top class fittings etc. like a hotel as you said. 🎉
Were you recording sound somewhere from Library or quiet zone area? I barely can hear what were you saying lady had to put sound to max
Not a big fan for having carpet in a house. Perhaps its a Caribbean thing for not having such. All in all, great apartments. Thanks for sharing !!!!!

Thanks for the tour.
I know London is the capital, but damn those prices are huge...its like 8 to 9x the price of my 1 bed, I'd never be able to afford one.
£1k a week, time passed me by, when you need £10 k a month just to live

I personnally love the mews but for your life style, the flat with the amenities would be perfect

£6,500 pm rent??!! You used to be so cautious with your cash.
That’s 72k per year!!! 😮 😳
Who can afford these prices??! Who would even want to?! I don’t get it?! 🤔
None of them were worth the money .
It's your money and you can do anything you like .
Couldn't see value for money 🕴🕴🤦♂️🤦♂️😊
$6,000 per month in US dollars????????????????? You're kidding, right?
😀👍🤙
You can’t afford any of them

Complete waste of money.. all for show for posh kids who want to be central for no reason. 🙄
