    I got mccafery when he slipped to 6th round so I think it was no doubt a great pick

    I couldn''t think of a worse fit for McCaffery than the Panthers. I was so disappointed when they took him.

  • @KlutzyKidProductions
    @KlutzyKidProductions 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    The X factor with McCaffrey is he's the Panthers best WR. From his all time 3 cone to film, he's the best receiving RB to come out in a long time. He would've been a 1st-2nd round WR.
    If the Panthers want to win/contend, he should be playing every down regardless if it's RB, slot WR, or split out wide. While his ADP is high I can definitely see the upside scenario of where he gets 100 targets.
    Nice video though & I agree with the rest. Lamar Miller...barf.

    I'm getting Woodhead in the 8th and 9th in my drafts. I will take him all day long there with Dixon being out first 3 games. I think Woody eats this year.

    • @bonzai7805
      @bonzai7805 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      in ppr i agree woodhead will be top 10 rb or injured again 1 or the other he doesnt have an inbetween lol

    • @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA
      @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA  7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      He's going earlier than that in competitive 12 team leagues. The 9th would be fine. But he won't be going that late anywhere come late August

    • @kyaaron39
      @kyaaron39 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You know why? Because word will get out how great he looks with no problems with his knee. I see Woody ( staying healthy of course) 70-80 receptions 5-7 tds. Flacco is already raving about him saying they haven't had a back like him since Ray Rice.

    First video of yours that I have watched. Nice video and very insightful! I agree with all of these picks also, I believe Melvin Gordon is probably the riskiest player in the first round, it's either him or Mike Evans. I also have absolutely no idea why people keep drafting Frank Gore so high. I know he finishes in the top 20 every year, but on game by game basis, he is horrible. plus he has no league winning upside. I would much rather have CJ prosise in a ppr league and hope he wins the job. best case scenario prosise is a poor man's David Johnson, worst case scenario he is a 3rd down back who gets you 9 points a game (pretty much Frank gore).

  • @luiscollado5203
    @luiscollado5203 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Solid video with good reasoning. Looks like people are upset because their favorite running backs are on this list haha.
    I won with Frank Gore on my team 3 years in a row, and unfortunately I'm going to have to let him pass this year. Last year drafted him as a trademark for my team but if I'm aiming for #4 he's just not viable.
    Look forward to watching these vids in the future. Not sure if you do DFS videos but with this sort of analysis you'd get solid views and would profit if you have a basic understanding of stats/football/game theory

      Oh I play plenty of DFS! I'm so excited for the DK week one slate to open up. I'll definitely make a video for week one. No idea what's going on the rest of the year yet. Woodhead is in a good place to be great for ppr. I'll take him as my RB3 all day long if it means I can get a bunch of great wrs.

  • @tristansmith5589
    @tristansmith5589 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have gotten Woodhead last 4 seasons with a really late pick. He was my #2 back early in the season. That was pretty good because I went with a no running back statagy in my PPR league

    • @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA

    • @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA
      @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No I think if Doug is healthy then Rodgers really has no value. If Doug gets hurt though then Rodgers is a good guy to have on the bench. He posted some good numbers last year but he's fairly mediocre. Doug is better

  • @travnasty5269
    @travnasty5269 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I agree with mccafery. if he's there is the 6th or later though maybe even late 5th depending where I draft I'm still gonna take him.

  • @edwardbrito3332
    @edwardbrito3332 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm a 49er fan I think Gore shouldn't be picked over a lot of players but he will be consistent. He got a lot of carries & passes goal line looks. He was never a pure speed guy and having a backup QB and still putting up good numbers is a pro.
    I agree I had him 5-6 last year 7-8 he be someone I draft as a 3rd RB after team is full if not 4th RB.

    Need advice! I Pick 12 in a 12 man PPR league. Format below. What should I do? Freeman, Ajayi, Gordon, Howard, Michael Thomas, Dez, Demarco, etc.
    QB
    RB
    WR
    TE
    Flex
    Flex
    Flex
    K
    D

    • @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA
      @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd go WR heavy in that format. You can start 4 WR and only one RB if you want. I'd be targeting whoever is left of Green, Nelson, Evans, and Thomas. If only one is available then I'd take one RB and one WR

    my league of record is a ppr league but is also a point per carry league so would that change your opinion on any of these guys?

    • @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA
      @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It makes any RB that will get volume extremely valuable. So DJ, Bell, and Zeke are the 100% clear cut top 3. It also makes Gurley a lot more viable. I still don't like Miller a ton but he would definitely be worth drafting. Melvin would be fine in a league like that. You basically have to lock up two stud RB's with those settings. So you can't be as picky

    Love the video and I always enjoy hearing others perspectives on players. With that said can you please help me out. I am in a keeper league and trying to decide who to keep out of Hunter Henry (14th round pick) or Corey Coleman ( who would be a 9th round pick). Any advice would be appreciated.

    • @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA
      @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Neither of those is ideal. I guess I'd go Henry

    • @ryaneady313
      @ryaneady313 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fantasy Football Advice I agree that neither are ideal as of this year. My biggest question is which one I think has the most value in the long run and which I could redraft this year close to the same draft position as to where I would keep them at. What round do you see Corey Coleman being drafted at this year? So many sites have so many different adp so it's hard to get a decent grasp. I have done plenty of mocks but they are all so inconsistent. Thanks for the reply and thanks for the videos.

    • @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA
      @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      He's going later than the 9th. That's why I picked Henry. At least you are getting a slight deal on him. And he has a chance to be a stud in a year or two

      Carlos Hyde and Willie Snead for Jordy Nelson. What side do u like? Half point ppr. 3 WR 2 Rb and a flex. Rbs are ajayi, McCoy, Zeke, Hyde, Terrance West, Derrick Henry and samaje Perine. WR are Antonio Brown, Sammy Watkins, Garcon, Snead, Kenny Britt and Kevin White. I have Mike Williams on IR currently.

      Jordy is the best option of the bunch but I like them all. I'd be fine with a Jordy/(Freeman, Howard, Murray) combo. Whichever RB is left after the turn

    The chargers head coach is a former running back. He wants to take pressure off of rivers by running the ball. They improved the o line. I don't see any reason not to draft Gordon high unless he gets hurt

  • @ethansmith6018
    @ethansmith6018 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is completely out of context with the video which is fantastic by the way. Doing some digging during my graveyard shift and I got thinking, why on earth haven't I heard of a single analyst talk about Jordan Matthews and his potential value that he holds out of the slot in Philly? The guy is supremely talented and one of the premier slot guys in the NFL and they just acquired Alshon who will take an immense amount of pressure off of him with Carson Wentz looking to take a step forward, I see a guy drafted mostly in the double digit rounds who could return value in a pretty big way in PPR leagues.

    • @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA
      @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya he's a good pick late. I think people are putting too much stock into Smith. He's a fine deep threat but he isn't going to take many targets. And if Alshon gets hurt then Matthews will be a huge steal. And even if he doesn't he has the slot role secure. Not a bad pick at all

    Frank Gore will be the safest 15-20 points you'll get on a weekly basis and doesn't cost much. And he's going to do it at age 34, and he's going to do it while finishing 4th all time in rushing yards this year.

    • @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA

      NFL Universe Hyde is no bust. Hyde plays better then any rb in the league with terrible qb play. He actually plays better the worse his qb is. He's underrated and a rare combo of speed and violence.

    Do you feel fitz has upside at his current adp? What round would you draft fitz in? Then with gore he has upside if he is the 30th rb off the board he could finish top 20 rbs in ppr and non ppr formats. His value goes away though if marlon mack or someone else gets involved.

    • @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA
      @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's the issue. I think Mack has a decent sized role in the offense. As far as Fitz I think he's a good pick. Better in ppr than in standard but I like his ADP in both. He's also a great trade candidate because his first month schedule is so easy. The players I have ranked right ahead of him are T.Hill, Crowder, Diggs, and Tate. But he is right in the same tier as those guys

      it doesn't matter what he finishes at the end of the year. the only reason he finishes well is he never gets hurt. But by all means if you want to roster an RB who will get you 9 or 10 points a week but has abosuletly 0 chance of going off, then go ahead. That's not how you win leagues though.

  • @jakemartin5553
    @jakemartin5553 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'd put the top 3 RB's, McCoy, Freeman, and the top 3 WR's before Gordon hands down for sure.. but at 9 I'm basically forced to choose between Gordon, Nelson, Evans (who I expect major regression from), and AJ Green... you can say Green's not injury prone all you want but a guy who's missed time in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 is at least a slight injury risk in my eyes. I won't argue with you if you go AJ Green before Gordon, but I can make plenty of arguments against both guys.. I mean my perspective is from half PPR too though (that way WR's aren't worthlesss if they don't get a TD or 100 yards.. but they still need to do more than go 5 for 50 weekly to be a fantasy stud like in full PPR), so that may skew things slightly more in favor of the RB. With the way mocks are starting to shift hard towards RB, if you don't get 3 "good" RBs in the first 5 rounds you're pretty much SoL (in anything less than full PPR anyway).. Generally I say go against the grain and draft value but after the big 3 wr's I start to strongly favor the RB.. you can still get Baldwin, Watkins, Pryor, Crowder, etc in rounds 3-6.. then still have plenty of options in the later rounds at WR.. worst case scenario if you hit on 4 of your RBs you can always trade one of them for a stud WR.. good luck trading a stud WR for a stud RB come mid season.. My point is; Who are the 4-5 guys you think should beyond a reasonable doubt go before Gordon? IMO everyone between pick 9 and 14 can be the same thing.. huge upside tied to risk and question marks.. Green is the one guy I'll say may deserve the 9 spot ahead of him purely on upside but I think I'd rather get a RB in that spot and take a shot on a guy like Watkins later on than go Green and take a shot on Hyde.

    • @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA
      @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In full point I have the top 12 ranked: DJ, Bell, Zeke, Brown, Julio, Odell, McCoy, Green, Jordy, Evans, Freeman, Gordon
      In Standard I have the top 12 ranked: DJ, Zeke, Bell, Brown, Odell, Julio, McCoy, Freeman, Jordy, Green, Evans, Gordon
      I'd take him in the second, but right now he's at 9 and I think that could move to the 7-9 range. I've seen him go as high as 5th

    • @jakemartin5553
      @jakemartin5553 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fantasy Football Advice I mean I fully agree with him being no early than 9th overall.. I just view a lot of those guys as borderline interchangeable.. I'm one of those guys who's super low on Evans this year.. I put him after Green, Nelson, and Gordon.. it's just those 3 guys are hard for me to decide between and Gordon is the riskiest.. and I do put Green ahead of Nelson in half ppr and I very well may still decide to take Green 9th.. I'm just saying I don't absolutely hate Gordon 9th.. it's the earliest I'd take him for sure but it'll come down to ADPs and how I anticipate my team turning out come draft day.. if I think can get Gordon round 1 and Nelson/Green in round 2 then I'll probably take that chance.. I've been seeing Gordon Murray, Ajayi, and Howard all go before Green and Nelson lately.. I just hate when I go Green then RB's just start flying off the board and I get Nelson.. I like that start but I hate when i get to round 3 and Hyde is the only guy left on the board with tons of WR value all around him.. I'm just trying to avoid the RB Zero trap I fall into by going against the grain in rounds 1/2..

    • @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA
      @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya it's ideal to get a RB in one of the first two rounds. It was easy early in the summer. But casual fans are going to see videos about how you need to lock up a RB early and we are going to see it go back to the days of almost all RB's in the first. At that point all the value is being sucked out of some of these guys. I do agree though that Melvin, Green, Evans and Jordy are all fairly similar

  • @TheModernPioneer
    @TheModernPioneer 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Not drafting Frank Gore just because of his age is ridiculous. Of course age is a factor for injury risk and the 6th round is a little too high, but he was one of the most consistent running backs every year for as long as I can remember. People made the same case last year with Robert Turbin, and look what happened. Sure, he's old, but to not draft him at all is just stupid, considering it's based nothing other than age. I guess we should be hesitant about drafting Tom Brady because he's 40.

    • @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA
      @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not just the age. His two most inefficient seasons have been his last two. And RB's get less and less productive as they get more carries (once they pass 28 is where the bigger drop offs happen). He would be fine if we could project 230+ touches. But I think Mack has a decent role. Especially on third downs.

    • @TheModernPioneer
      @TheModernPioneer 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fantasy Football Advice I agree completely that his ceiling is not very high. But Frank Gore is not someone you draft expected crazy upside. What he's been is a solid and consistent RB that you use as a potential flex position or replacement for an injured RB2. I would say that rounds 7 or 8 are more appropriate, but I think he has a lot of worth there. Plus, we don't know whether or not Mack could be a total bust or not, the majority or rookie running backs usually are.

    • @TheModernPioneer
      @TheModernPioneer 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well he did finish as the RB12 in standard leagues, above Isaiah Crowell, Lamar Miller, and Todd Gurley, all of which who are being drafted around Round 3 in 12-team leagues. Additionally, we have no evidence of injury for Gore, so we're only basing the injury risk on other RB's of similar age. The reason why he may not drop off is because he's never been a Top 5 RB in the first place. I don't see how people can justify drafting an injury-riddled Sammy Watkins in round 3 or 4, but then say that Gore in round 7 or 8 is too high a price.

    So I agree with you on #5 and #4 I love woodhead but I agree that 6th Rd is too soon 9th is probably great. Since I go WR 1st 3 picks (PPR) I won't get Melvin but dude that consistently get hurt I try to avoid unless they drop in the draft. Frank Gore is too old this is a young man sport rather go with your dude Mixon from Cinn. Great video subscribe to HanzDownSports

    Ur list is wrong it's
    Jordan Howard
    Eddy Lacy
    Frank Gore
    Carlos Hyde
    Lamar Miller/Ty Montgomery/ Theo Riddick
    That's not in any specific order

    • @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA

      Why Hyde and Howard? Both clear cut starters. Howard behind a top 7 o-line

      Miller is going to crush it - with an upgraded QB & Hopkins bouncing back Miller should see more running room. He should get around 15 carries and 3-4 catches a game which should put in in the area of 90 total yards & every so often a TD. The offense will be better so he should get more opportunities for TD's. Brock was a nightmare last year - not going to happen again

    If woodhead doesn't get injured, he'll be the best player on the ravens. I can't see him not finishing the season with roughly 900 running and 900 receiving yards. He's going to be huge. And Frank Gore?! Come on man, this feels like you just don't play fantasy football. He's the #1 running back and he finishes every year way ahead of where everyone ranks him.
    Woodhead will be a low RB1 or high RB2, Frank Gore will be a low RB2. It's a guarantee with the exception of injuries.

    • @scottmitchell2615
      @scottmitchell2615 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      J.P. Michaels Frank Gore is the kind of player you pick in the 7th because you realize he finished 12th last year (due strictly to volume, which he won't have this year), only to drop him after week 3 because someone else breaks out/Marlon Mack takes the job from him. He is probably the only player being drafted in the first 8 rounds with literally zero upside.

      Fantasy Football Advice look at what happened with Todd gurley in his second year, he was THE MAN on the rams, doesn't mean he is having a good year especially with the bum offense..you have to recognize the same risk with Howard..not to mention gordon is clearly THE MAN on the chargers better offense with the improving o-line?

    Gore finished rb 12 last season in our league..And was drafted in the 7th round...How the hell do you pass on that? Thats value at its best. Sorry, But out of the 5...thats the 1 i will disagree. Until gore shows he cannot be a rb2 anymore. I will def continue to target him in the 7th round...7th round!? #Value.

    • @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA
      @FantasyFootballAdviceFFA  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It all came on volume and the volume won't be there as much. If you want 6 points per week with no upside then sure do it. But he will not be a RB 1 and he has a very small chance at being a RB 2

    • @scottmitchell2615
      @scottmitchell2615 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ray Colón except if you really look at the stats on a game by game basis, Frank Gore was actually complete garbage. the only reason he finishes 12th is because he never gets hurt. I would 10/10 times rather draft a high upside running back like, CJ prosise, over Frank Gore. But by all means if your okay getting barely 9 points a game from an RB then go ahead and take Gore. That's not how you win leagues though.

      Sean Douglas I agree, Gordon is going to have a fantastic season. He's in a great situation for a RB. I don't see a td regression at all. Coach Lynn has raved about Gordon all off season and he's going to ride Gordon, like he did with Shady McCoy in Buffalo. For me, I wouldn't hesitate to take him in the top half of the draft. He's one of the few workhorse RBs in fantasy.
