Welcome back! Bringing you along on a day off with the Timbers! We head out from home and enjoy our wonderful backyard. Showing you a little behind the scenes of some photography Trustin needed to get done and then we spend the rest of the day fishing for some rainbow trout. We make sapling rods inspired by Japanese Tenkara fishing and try out an assortment of dry fly's. We take a nice break for a picnic lunch along the river. It was a great day enjoying our own backyard! Hope you enjoy! xo

Been fly fishing all my life but have never tried Tenkara. Time to expand my fly fishing experience! Thanks for this!

I so enjoy your videos. It's nice to see how you each appreciate and respect each other. Using a leader was a great idea for the fishing poles. Never thought of that. Plus, you always bring it when the food is involved. Beautiful scenery too.

when i was a little kid i had a few flies and some mono and i couldnt afford a rod and reel. I would make a setup just like this and go to a small creek in my backyard. It seems to me that these people are coming to the same experience just at a later stage in life. Good for them. Dont forget to give the little ones in your life the opportunity to get out there.

Enjoyed your fishing trip! Love trout fishing but age has caused me to mostly give it up due to balance issues on roots, rocks and slippery banks where trout want to be. Example: This video! Thanks for taking me along. Be careful guys! 😊

nice little rainbow trout, i caught me a 28" rainbow out of the Kenai River a few years ago and it was a fat boy feeding on all those salmon eggs! such a beautiful place to hike--i really love the trees there.

That small green fiddlehead ferns looked so cute and it is a very yumm vegetable if cooked with all the spices . It is one of my favourite green veggies to eat, Take care guys !

I hate to fish--started hating as a little kid with my dad who wanted me to sit still to not scare the non-existent fish away. Finally we made a truce where I brought my b-b gun instead of a fish pole. Dad never caught anything much, but I am a pretty good shot.

I really like your videos, they are calming and wonderful, however I have to say this:
Why'd you hook a fish, traumatise it by taking it out of its natural environment and touch it, you then release it back into the river with an open wound bound to get infected, from which it will surely die. What is the point of that. You had plenty of food to eat. Why did you need to scare, traumatise and injure a fish? Just to make sure, had you been starving you'd be bale to hook a fish out of its natural habitat?
What's your slogan again? Be nice to people, be nice to the earth? That does not seem like a nice thing to do. The fish is an individual and the fish is part of the earth. Both of which you are not being nice to.
Catch&release is just bullshit in my world. If you fish you keep it, cook it and eat it.
