The time person’s name is Renet, the garbageman died all the way back in season 3 and idk why Bishop’s watching. Maybe because he was spying on them?
It's been a while since I watched, but I think Bishop may have had good intentions all along, which is what lead him to become the character he is in Fast Forward.

While I'm usally not a nitpick about character design, these constant googly eyes really don't work for this version of the turtles - it totally distracts every second
Yeah, I read once the design change was to try and make them look more like the movie that came out around that time...

As a fan of Notes from the Underground, I'm slightly hurt by your comment. :( I will say, all the lore with the Y'Lyntians definitely did go on for a little too long. But I do feel like the 3 part episode as a whole did it's job well as a mid season break from everything else going on up until that point.
Aside from Turtles Forever, this show definitely deserved a stronger ending than this. I don't blame the people who choose to stop watching after Season 5. The art style changes were bad enough, but the storytelling took a major step back in favor of cheap gimmicks to sell toys. I'd certainly enjoy Season 7 just a little bit more if they just didn't have pupils. That would have gone a long way for me personally.

As much as I love the 2003 series, Fast Forward and the Cyberspace stuff lost me. But prior to that I think TMNT 2003 is up there with Justice League Unlimited and Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes for comic book to animation adaptations.

I thought it ended well. I think the '87 show had a better ending though.

The episode carried the flaws of Fast Forward and Back to the Sewers, but I thought it was a great ending all things considered.

This episode is a better final episode than “Divide and Conquer” the final episode of the ‘87 series. This at least had better plot instead of just focusing on defeating their enemy compared to the final battle with Lord Dregg.
Divide and Conquer is a great finale too. Sure, Lord Dregg final battle feels not as exciting as it was for children back in the day, but in this episode Splinter tells the Turtles he has nothing else to teach them and bows calling them masters. I think while a bit cheesy it's still a nice way to end a show about a teenagers growing up.

The 2003 series was epic!
But, i myself did not like the anime feel to the last season. It was absolutely awful! They made the turtles look more juvenile, and took them from dark comic style to them looking like they came out if manga. Yuck!
Nice storyline to finish it off, but enough of the shredder! Total overkill.

On the Bishop being good or bad at this point topic, I believe he is allied with the turtles after the events of season 5. This might be my head canon but would love to hear any counterpoints to this.
My biggest problem with this episode (besides the obvious power scaling ignorance) is: Karai, specifically her motivations here. Last we saw in Season 5 and 6 she appears to be allied with the Turtles and the same remains true here. So why, in Turtles Forever, does her character show no growth and crawl right back to Shredder?
I think Bishop was just spying on them but still couldn't resist to smile. After all they have been through, even as rivals, he still respects the turtles somehow. Or maybe he had given up on hunting them and focusing on how to protect the earth from aliens and work with Stockman on the new mousers as we were shown in Fast Forward
As per Karai, i don't understand why she's even there. Ok she gave up taking revenge for her father but still they were not friends or didn't create a strong bond. I didn't like that she was at the wedding but i guess the writer just wanted us to see all the important characters through the series in one environment together.

The last episode was good & did what it had to. Kind of odd no: Karai, Hun, Baxter, nor Chaplin in the last episode. I know that after the 03-07 Turtles the franchise was taken over by Channel 11 but how did the Turtles lose their mystic powers
