Its a traingular love story concept ..both Arya and Arya2 are blockbuster hits
You can directly watch Arya 2 because both movies are not related interms of story.
He loves her and also his friend. He doesn't loose his love nor his friend. His character depicts his struggle for having both.
I recommend you to watch this movie with subtitles completely .
The character has multiple shades in it.
You cannot define Arya as psychotic but he is a bit over emotional character. Actually he is a lot kind hearted and free spirited and his world totally revolves around his best friend Ajay and his love interest Geetha. So, what if both Ajay and Geetha fall in love and start neglecting Arya and to what consequences this leads to forms the crux of the story.
I understand you are not a native speaker but 'psychotic' is the best word to describe the character. It doesn't mean he is bad, it just means he got issues. Regardless of the context of the movie, his actions in the song are obsessive and psychotic.

Arya 2 he is definitely a psycho for sure. His obsession over his Friendship is at peaks with no rationality. His friendship towards his Friend and Love towards his Lover is so irrational is what makes him psycho. But not the way these two were thinking. So yeah they will have to watch the movie to understand.

Here... "psychotic" means "crazy but cute". It's more like a sociopath who falls closer to the good side. He wants everyone, esp., his childhood friend Ajay to like him. I mean he does things which are crazy but is not "bad or evil". He does really "good" things but in a crazy and roundabout way.
