That first part was tough to watch, more than I thought it would be. The way you did it was respectful and the best possible way. As someone who chooses to eat meat I think it's so good to raise the animals and treat them well and butcher them yourself. I don't know if I could do it right now, but I really appreciate those that can and do. Thank you for sharing
That chicken died with purpose after much love and better treatment than any grocery store chicken! I have enough space for chickens and would love to have some someday! I think the actual act of butchering would be hard for me, but knowing it's had a good life and will be feeding me and my family makes me feel comforted. Thank you for your videos!
Remember, this chicken was loved more than all of that chicken meat you see in your local grocery store. Also this was more humane than how they were killed in the stores.
I found your channel and videos a few days ago, so far i have to say i absolutely love this content. The whole process from start to end is so in depth and formal, not to mention respectful to the animals. And to make it even better, you include the cooking process at the end too, i love seeing the different dishes and styles. I love bushcraft lol
I love that I learned a bit more with this (mostly the beak and gizzard). Super grateful that you respect the birds so much. Also glad to see you waited for the natural sedation to kick in and not rush it to. “Get it done”.
I grew up watching my parents butcher our own chickens monthly. I even had to hold the Chickens feet while they slit the neck 😳 great educational video though
I recently found your channel, and I love it. I have been binge watching most of your content. I don't mean to sound rude but I can't wait till you start doing it more full time. I look forward to more of your stuff. Keep up the good work.
This was a great video! You are very thorough with the explanations of everything and how to do it! I found you on Tiktok a while ago and have been fascinated by everything you put out!
I remember watching my dad kill chickens and rabbits growing up. Felt bad cuz I love eating rabbits specifically but I didn’t want them to suffer cuz I loved them. But it was humane. And my dad didn’t enjoy doing it but that’s how life is. You eat chicken or rabbits you have to know how it happened. And ours were home raised for months, they were taken care of and fed and not abused. This is how real life is people
Love the vids man! Living vicariously thru you. I’m a city boy but would love to live in the country but I wouldn’t know how to survive out there! Love the content brother! Keep up the good work!
Chicken intestine is a pretty common street food here in the Philippines. We call it “isaw”. Put it in a skewer and grill it. Gizzard, liver and heart would also be delicious as Adobo 😋.
Loved this video. Seen plenty of butchering from live chicken to dinner, but this definitely was a lot better in quality than many others I’ve seen. Live in a house in the city of San Francisco, but I do have enough yard space to raise some chickens. Hopefully one day I will, and perhaps I will make some congee if I do. Keep up the good work, man!
My grandfather should me as a child but didn't put it into practice till this year. I am learning to be able to take our family "off the grid" so to speak. ✌👽 I love watching your videos man!
Typically birds are stunned prior to having their necks cut for the bleed out so they do not feel anything. You ought to consider stunning the birds prior to bleed out or instead do cervical dislocation which is the most humane way to kill a bird
You know if you watch this in reverse. He's the world's greatest chicken surgeon

I'm on the same boat. Tough to watch, but I was curious. And I actually learned a lil somethin while watching.
It's amazing. To watch butchering video. It makes me hungry.
I love how you don’t waste any time trying to teach us how to clean and cook chickens. You go very in depth about teaching.
