It's been two years since I have had a a nike in my rotation- I wanted to like the turbo/premium but really it's 3 years too late and they should be 2-3 versions ahead in development. Like you said at the front half of the video Nike holds a strong place in my heart and it's sad what's happing to them outside of maybe the race day shoe. They seem more intent on finding the next 'ultra boost' cira 5 years ago trend shoe more than anything
These Pegasus Plus seems awesome , but the competition is fearsome. I think I would go with a Neo Vista, Deviate Nitro 3 or even the SuperBlast 2 instead the PP .
Another great review😊 What’s the opinion on the very best out and out recovery shoe . I’m 57 years old 82kg and run a minimum of 4 times a week anywhere from 5-16k. Currently running in Novablast 4 , New Balance 860 and Rebel 4 . Just looking for best comfort and protection for really slow recovery runs Thanks
Your reviews are great. What marathon shoe would you recommend for a Nike fanboy 3:45-4 hr? Even if not Nike… I run in the invisible 3 and looking to add to my rotation, targeting the Richmond marathon 11/15
Yowana, so far this year I’ve gotten around 200 miles in my Hoka Mach 6, a bit more than 155 miles in my Saucony Endorphin Speed 3’s, and a little more than 100 miles in my Adidas SL2’s, and now I am thinking about buying the Nike Pegasus Plus. Should I go for this, or try something different?
Great review as always bro. I’ve always been a bit of a Pegasus Turbo Stan (Nike overall to be honest) and I feel like they delivered on these. I will say that since most of my training rotation is apart of the Max Cushion Gang now, after throwing these on for tempo runs my calves definitely are worked out. But that could be a good thing to switch things up sometimes right???
Did I hear Adios 9 in September? If that’s confirmed, do you have a day it should be releasing? The Adios 9 is my most anticipated shoe of the year. Can’t wait to test out a shoe with full Lightstrike Pro midsole and no stabilizing element.
Yeah that's what they said back at The Running event last year - but as know with adidas we can't believe anything they say 😂 so I'm not sure since I haven't heard anything recently. But I'll be testing it as soon as it's out
@@supwellThanks for the response back. I hope it’s out soon as well since I’ve got a 30% voucher from my rewards account on the Adidas app that expires mid-October. I also used a 30% off voucher when I bought the SL2 on launch day.
In my store try on, I loved the thin tongue and structured lacing system felt high quality. Flyknit was great but sliiightly loose in midfoot is my only upper gripe. Midsole just didn’t feel $180 worthy. It’s like they have to start here and then wait 9 months to give me the giant sale discount and put it where it belongs.
Yo Yowana, you ever think about switching to time of feet instead of mileage. Far more sustainable and efficient way to train imo. Example: instead of doing 8miles, you do 60min. If ur feeling beat you end up with less miles bc you go slower, if you are feeling good then you get a bit more mileage on the day. Still the same amount of time of feet though. This transformed my training. Curious on your thoughts
FR tho, the max stack shoes feel much better on the legs on a long run. But for some reason my feet for walking around like the zero drop, low stack shoes like those Killshots or Gazelles.
Yowana is the #1 shoetuber on TH-cam and it’s not close. Love these videos, love this channel, so much respect to him for the consistency, dedication, and hard work he’s putting in
I have to admit I would only buy the Pegasus 41 in Volt and Black colourway for casual wear. With the existence of the Nike Vomero, Nike Infinity Run 4 and now the Nike Pegasus Plus I don't think the normal Pegasus has a place anymore. In South Africa Nike Pegasus 41 costs R2899. 00 and the Plus R3399. 00. Similar and at times more expensive than Nike Infinity Run 4 and Nike Vomero 17. Obviously now you take advantage of great discounts on the Vomero and Infinity Run 4.
Here's a tip for quickly cleaning shoes....use a pressure washer and spray for just a few seconds after every few runs and you can make the soles and uppers look new and clean again!
Was considering these getting back to Nike. But looks like I will wait a bit longer. Ran in Nike LunarEpic Low Flyknit (still my favorite goldilocks shoe, despite needing to pick out rocks/pebbles) to Nike React Infinity Run original and 2.
Lab tests on the foam for exact makeup will be a game changer for shoe reviews... yeah hold them companies accountable 👌 🤙 Don't feel bad being hard on the swoosh brand, they deserve since they've been lackluster with progress and development.
I mean, Nike probably knows that they're lacking in the daily/performance training segment. Why don't their improve models? Is it hubris of their senior leadership, that still want the board to believe they rule this game because their product managers did an "awesome" job? Look what Asics did (NB, SB, Magic Speed, Metaspeed), what Adidas is doing (like released a mediocre SL, then a year later they iterate with the version 2 that is a wild animal), plus they are releasing B13, A9 and AP4 this year as well.
Great review, uk sportsshoes got mine 20% off so purchase price not terrible. Exceeded my expectations but I guess like yours mine were low. Back to back with the Mach 6 I do find the peg plus performance better overall especially longer into the run. Same with the on cloud hyper really liked that but the price! The price takes its value away and downgrades it even though it’s good and i prefer it over the Superblast. Interested in the balos but don’t have that colour in the uk, mens is black and sail looks a bit bland.. and I don’t need it. But want it.
I've got about 25miles on mine, nice shoe, nothing very remarkable. I find the upper really roomy in the toe box but the foam is narrow underfoot, so will probably sell them.
You’re right, for daily trainers I don’t think they care. They don’t HAVE to care. It’s like McDonald’s. They could spit on your food on the regular and people will still show up.
Hahaha great question - anything above $160 always feel overpriced. But Puma magmax is one that's $180 and worth it to me due to the amount of foam, versatile ride experience and likely durability (most of puma shoes last well beyond industry average). And then skyward x is $225 but feels worth it to me for similar reasons - same thing with the superblast at $200 for a lot of people
They'll be okay for a few short jogs to get you started, but once you've decided you want to stick with running I would suggest getting a dedicated running. The purpose built running shoes are lighter, more comfortable and better foams - from Nike my favorite is the Vomero 17 and you can always find it on sale for under $100 on Nike's website or dicks sporting goods
Catching up a bit. I wanted the invincible 3's to workout but too much heel slippage for my liking. Gonna watch. Hoping you give me what I want to hear. :) Edit: Sounds like this is not it ... I do wish I could find a place with the Spectre 2. I might have to settle for the Pegasus 41.
I got some more miles in it today and it's growing on me. Check out my updated thoughts in the video posting tonight. I still feel it's overpriced at $180 but it's a solid shoe - a lot better than the standard Pegasus too. Not the softest or most forgiving but there's some good bounce and pep. I would definitely take this over the Pegasus if the $40 difference isn't a main decision point. Adizero SL2 is a much better choice than the Pegasus as well and it's almost like a softer more comfortable version of the Pegasus plus at $50 cheaper. Also if you can't find a shoe in person and you're in the US you can always use my running warehouse link 😉
@@supwell yeah. I'm looking for a softer ride than my noosas that can do tempo and threshold runs that also has a stretchy upper. My right foot is really cantankerous with shoes. I wanted to like the mach 6's but even the wides caused my right foot problems.
20 minutes, totally lost me 20 in, because I need to bathe and clip my Male, 165lbs and 7 1/2 foot long Great Pyrenees. I'm giving him a "Lion cut", which takes about 4 hours and a bath, 3 hours. So 7 solid hours of non stop go go go work and I can't be falling asleep. Stuck inside (the grooming station is outside) so stuck inside waiting for their food to finish, takes an hour in total. I have 470+ pounds of rescue dogs here and I make 15 lbs of homemade food for them all each and every day, 7 days a week. So 30 hour per month just making their food! An other 10 per month just shopping for it and driving to store. As I only have room for so much chicken liver in my fridge (so multiple trip required). I have to groom my dogs at night overnight because I'm in Montgomery TX and we have been running 97°F- 106°F sornquite some time now, and at 57, with 70-85% humidity and a "feels like" temp of 100°F- 118°F, I just can't work my butt off for 7-8 hours straight, as hard and fast S I can with no breaks in that kinda heat anymore. We literally have new record breaking temperatures every summer. It's 4:24 a.m. at 80° still with 62% humidity currently and it still feels like a sauna out there.
Great review, pretty much as expected… Summary: decent shoe, great looking, poor value. My Turbo 2 in this colorway was the most complimented shoe I’ve ever owned. Unfortunately the upper self destructed before I could put any miles on it (same for the free replacement).
I'm mentioning this to everybody by the way, a lot of you guys deserve much more likes than you get considering the size of the audience and it could be somewhat of a technical / user error problem? So many of us if not most cast from our phones to our television these days. I have no idea how to leave a like on the television when I'm casting ? If I'm really Blown Away with something I will scramble over to my phone wherever it may be charging and pull up TH-cam and dig for what I'm watching and then leave a like and a comment but your audience is likely not going to do that as often as you probably deserve to receive a "like". My thought was that if you all remind us or in my case teach us how to leave a like at the end of program, you all might get more of your well earned and well deserved likes? Again, idk, can only speak for myself. But I would venture to guess that there are perhaps more than a few "casters" (from cell to tv) that simply don't know how to leave one (short of runningvti wherever we my have our "devises" charging to be able to do so? Just a thought. But if someone tells me personally how to do that, I would leave more likes for all the sneakerhead programs.
Perhaps you don't realize but people that love your programming and your everything and also really really really really really really are into shoes or should I say running sneakers. They're going to try and sit up and watch two maybe three of your programs at an hour plus a piece at the cost of missing valuable sleep which is going to make them potentially late to work the next day if not just running on half a tank of sleep good I would say when you're playing to the Sneakerhead Community it's almost socially responsible to run an hour-long programs on the latest and greatest that we all want to know about . I've done it myself many times but I've learned to just not go to your channel when I have to be up at any hour the next day. It's like potato chips you can't just eat one so I watched three or four of your videos because I'm totally down on the shoes and I want the information and you've got some of the latest and greatest but then damn it man I was supposed to be at bed at midnight and now it is 3:00 a.m. and I have to be up in 3 hours. Of course I have ADHD and I'm time blind so I don't notice time passing but I'm certain I'm not the only person that does that? I would sure love to have the 15-minute version I can go to to just get what I really need out of it. Your program is, however, the perfect program to fall asleep to. You've got your calm, mellow, soothing radio voice droneing on and on incessantly , in the background you can hear the songs of a half dozen cicadas, all manner of neighborhood birds and Suburban birds are chirping away, but gently and softly, because they know they're in "The Burbs" apparently? Idk? Weird... the entire Affair is just very "Mabry" meets " They call me Mellow Yellow "... and of course, it's over an hour long and you're just talking about one model of shoe could have pretty much been able to absorb suming up in 5, maybe 10 minutes? Again, Idk? Haven't really seen any scientific hard empirical data on the issue empirical data on the issue , so I will have to go with my gut here which I rarely if ever do. But I'm pretty sure from watching the other sneaker reviews that will cover three pairs of shoes in 15 minutes that most people could get their full in five stories about personal experiences which is lovely and wonderful is definitely very conducive to sleep yours is definitely hands down my favorite program to fall asleep to, so that's a happy unintended consequence I assume I learned that two or three times by accident and then it became a habit. Now my brain automatically jumps to the sleep mode every time I watch one of your programs which sucks when I'm really trying to pay attention to pick up on the stats what's the stack height blend and what's the stack height and where's rubber ? Is it Continental or Vibrim? Or generic? Upper material and price point please and I'm good. But now because it happen by accident those first 2nor3 times, you have become my favorite and by far most effective Night night, bedtime storyteller. I bet your children just adore having you read to them at sleepy time? Which is great for me when I need to sleep, but I'm not sure that it's what's your were after? There again, idk?😮
man u take a long oss time to get to the point. the peg plus is better than many of those daily trainers at 140. those shoes got some firm foam which make them have less comfort. the mach 6 is too narrow and not really that great of a shoe
So while I totally appreciate your being a rebel and going after Nike on the price point what I've noticed over the years of watching pretty much all of the sneaker review channels because I have Asperger's and speakers are my special interest so I suck up every bit of information I can which is why I hate your hour-long shows because I have other programs I need to watch and still live a life somehow? But I digress. Anyway, all of them start out as the rebel was a voice that's not going to be swayed by Corporate America and while yes that she was sent to me from Nike or Adidas or whomever my thoughts will be my own here. They all start out that way my thoughts are my own even though they're sending me $1,000 worth of shoes every 2 months but over the course of a few years you stop hearing that whole disclaimer thing. LOL watch Hes Kicks sometime. It's a sport crossover to lifestyle channel with a almost entirely nike only bunch of nike lifestyle Jordan Jordan Jordan and dunk low this or that in the mix. Don't see much if any adidas so asics or hoka (some) lifestyle shoes. But no Balenciaga, or LV or sketchers or converse. Follow the money, right? Idk? Sure feels that way anyway. I wonder how long you are going to be able to resist the power of the dark side of the force? Lol! Rather than complaining about it, all of them make a transition sooner or greater or lesser degrees.then you have some like Forty Runs who seriously DGAF and will absolutely go off on a Shoemaker for this or that which is effing priceless! Nobody has balls the size of Fordy Runs for sure. If need be and a lot of times nowadays need be because he has pissed off so many of them, he'll spend his own money I get out there and buy a shoe in charge pieces. Apparently making enough off the TH-cam stuff that he doesn't need to worry a whole lot about Nike or Adidas or anyone else for that matter synonym shoes or whatever to buy his affections.. maybe you'll end up like Forty Runs? That would be awesome but I would still never recommend your programming as much as I loved it to anyone until you get it done around 15 minutes at the outside 20 at the outside 20. I end up kicking myself every time I watch one of your programs because I just wasted an hour that I could have watched three or five others I got the exact same information minus all the personal blah blah blah but hey if it makes you happy and doing what makes you happy is not like working and it's paying off big enough to pay some bills and then more power to you. I'm down to maybe watching I don't know one out of 10 or 15 of your program is because I just don't have that much time. And there's tons of shoes that you will be allowed to see but I can't do it. Not when I can get the same information and better from more experienced people within a 10 to 15 minute window where they'll probably cover more than one shoe. I don't understand why you don't you don't develop some mad editing skills or hire an editor and making a bridge version because you know if I'm trying to fall asleep or something then I like the hour-long ones because I'll fall asleep for sure but when I want some data this is not the place to go not unless you have all week to cover 4-5 pairs of shoes. You can put in an 8 hour work day right here just watching programs on 6 or 7 shoes and that's absolutely ridiculous. And again that's coming from someone who loves your content. But life's just too short man
Personally, I can’t stand “what Nike stands for.” Forced labor (verified thru 2022, still going on today?), sponsored athletes who take a knee, etc. As far as business, if you’re an investor, you’ll know Nike has retired or laid off much of the design/engineering/product staff that created Nike’s running leadership in the 2015-2020 era. Last, looking at the designs of the Invincible 3, InfinityRN4, Peg Plus, Peg 41, seems like more emphasis on style than performance (patterns in the uppers, superfluous detailing, etc), although top race shoes still elite. Nike today reminds me of other once legendary American companies like Boeing, who’ve lost their leadership.

Thank you bank account just about to take another hammering😂
Was falling asleep on the treadmill earlier and turned on one of your videos. Saved my life probably 🫡
Thanks man. And yes rotating through different pairs/types of shoes is one of the best things to do for injury prevention!
so the vomero 17 is actually the best running shoe from nikeeee - under 200$ ?
Great informative vid for a rookie like me!
Just ran 8 miles at avg 10’33 per mile in some brooks. Man I’m slow. Gonna go get me some Nikes!
I miss the era of Nike Running shoes from 2017 to 2020. I guess I’m a Nike fan too since I grew up in America with Nike as the top athletic wear.
I do the same. It works a lot better for me. Also, when you get faster, your runs get longer and your mileage increases naturally
Bro I have engaged “hoard mode” on the Adizero SL2 . Appreciate the heads up on your initial review way back when.
Such a great shoe - nothing in the category can beat it
FR tho, the max stack shoes feel much better on the legs on a long run. But for some reason my feet for walking around like the zero drop, low stack shoes like those Killshots or Gazelles.
10 toes in we standing on business
Yowana is the #1 shoetuber on TH-cam and it’s not close. Love these videos, love this channel, so much respect to him for the consistency, dedication, and hard work he’s putting in
Thank you sir 🫡 I really appreciate the recognition and kindness
Seconding this!
Yeah I think their leadership is a little lost in this department. Adidas is crushing it
Great review, uk sportsshoes got mine 20% off so purchase price not terrible.
Dang sorry to hear you're not liking them. Hit up the Supwell app if you're trying to sell though 😉 they'll go quickly on there
I miss those cushlon foam days 😢
We all knew this was coming. Would be cool to see the alphafly 2 or even 1 just for shit and giggle
Hoping to get my hands on the 1 soon 😈
Endorphin speed 4 or the Nike peg plus ? Would be interesting to see what you prefer
I have both, endorphin speed 4, if you can get the endorphin pro 4 it's definitely better.
@ I have both to
You’re right, for daily trainers I don’t think they care. They don’t HAVE to care. It’s like McDonald’s. They could spit on your food on the regular and people will still show up.
😂😂😂 so sad yet so accurate
Meanwhile I just picked up a Qiaodan Feiying Plaid 1.5 for $155 which performs at a similar level to an Alphafly. Yeah, won't have fries with that.
Yowana is the best 💪
You mention this is a 140 shoe costing 180, which 180 dollar shoe is worth the 180 bucks?? I’ve yet to find one…
Hahaha great question - anything above $160 always feel overpriced. But Puma magmax is one that's $180 and worth it to me due to the amount of foam, versatile ride experience and likely durability (most of puma shoes last well beyond industry average). And then skyward x is $225 but feels worth it to me for similar reasons - same thing with the superblast at $200 for a lot of people
@@supwell alright, will take a look at that one, thanks for the recommendation!
That Eliot c/w is so sick. How is it for walking?
It's awesome - I put it on my best walking shoes list a while back th-cam.com/video/LzkAWmmi2Ss/w-d-xo.html
The most uncomfortable shoe i put on my foot. I have skinny feet and stiff was tight on top of my foot
Would Jordan 1's be good for running ?
They'll be okay for a few short jogs to get you started, but once you've decided you want to stick with running I would suggest getting a dedicated running. The purpose built running shoes are lighter, more comfortable and better foams - from Nike my favorite is the Vomero 17 and you can always find it on sale for under $100 on Nike's website or dicks sporting goods
@@supwell thank you
This or hyperion 2?
Let's gooooooo
Someone give me one or 2 GOOD options that have even MORE stack and MORE cushion than the novablast 4? Im talking MAX STACK
MagMax is what you want! It has all the comfort of the novablast 4 but with more cushion and bounce
Catching up a bit. I wanted the invincible 3's to workout but too much heel slippage for my liking. Gonna watch. Hoping you give me what I want to hear. :)
Edit: Sounds like this is not it ...
Man I got over 2k miles in between 4 1’s and 2 2’s
My last 2 pair of Nikes have turned into work shoes. Idk they are lost
I think wrong channel, just go for a run it’s all good bro…
10 mm drop coming in hot. Compressing all the way down. I would probably not be able to run in these
Your boy Yo clearin' waivers on that Prime X Strung? #MadeMan
Yowana posted yeahhhh! Oh yeah yowana what would you recommend to start a shoe rotation I already for a pair of daily trainers
Great review, pretty much as expected…
Summary: decent shoe, great looking, poor value.
My Turbo 2 in this colorway was the most complimented shoe I’ve ever owned. Unfortunately the upper self destructed before I could put any miles on it (same for the free replacement).
So many better options and lower cost with other brands.
100% No for me on Nike daily trainers
Bang
Nice

your welcome.
180 dollars? uhh uhh
272g + $180 (potential side eye engagement) 👀

Dog = barefoot mafia
😂😂😂
I’ve only tried Nike runners on in store and not one of their shoes has spoken to me enough to buy it. Why are Nike runners so pointy?
Great question 😂 they really need to fix that
👍🏻
"Barefoot Bullies" 🤣
man u take a long oss time to get to the point. the peg plus is better than many of those daily trainers at 140. those shoes got some firm foam which make them have less comfort. the mach 6 is too narrow and not really that great of a shoe
Now walk it ouuuuut
But life's just too short man
Short intro ? Nahh he lied 😢

Good to know it held up well for you through long runs - as that was my one issue with the Mach 6. I'm looking forward to getting some more miles in this soon
