@Hiren Humbal They were Turks and spoke Turkic language, they had mongol ancestry too because central asia was part of the mongol empire that's all .The relation to Genghis Khan is just a claim, there is no proof...then most Indian kings tracing lineage to suryavamsh or chandravansh must me true.
it was chanakya who asked candragupta to marry salucas daughter so he did not attack on india again also said that the child of daughter will not became the king. And candragupta won all that territory by victory, not salucas offered him.
There is no evidence of Chanakya ever being involved in Seleucid-Mauryan War. However, Chanakya disliked Yavans very much and said some really bad things about them. So, even if it's not written that he was involved in this treaty, he preferred Bindusara over his other sons to succeed. Bindusara was son of Chandragupta and his relative's daughter Durdhara.
The alliance of Chandragupta and Chanakya gotta be the greatest alliance in the history of India. is kinda an overwhelming feeling that I'm one of the descendants of this lineage.

Chandragupta Maurya (350-295 BCE) was the founder of the Maurya Empire, a geographically-extensive empire based in Magadha. He reigned from 320 BCE to 298 BCE.

Bhadrabahu forecast a 12-year famine because of all the killing and violence during the conquests by Chandragupta Maurya. He led a group of Jain monks to south India, where Chandragupta Maurya joined him as a monk after abdicating his kingdom to his son Bindusara.
Chandragupta was a jain when few monks made them invisible and went to his palace (yeah its an actual story in ParishistParvan). Chandragupta at that time was a heretic and later he accepted Jainism. It all happened before birth of Bindusara. So he was a jain way before his successor was born.
You are correct! Chandragupta did become a Jain monk, as the text suggest, because of the draught that engulfed the Empire, that the Jain Monks told was caused by the large number of people getting killed due to his wars.
Hi Parminder! It is great to see the audience getting interested in this😊😊😊!! We are currently working on lesser-known Indian history of 'Post-Mauryan Period' ... following which we will be bringing to you the History of India Gupta Period!😊😊😊
Sir, Bindusara story is covered in our next videos: th-cam.com/video/jtXf2ymtrN0/w-d-xo.html & th-cam.com/video/7pRNcc4TZIA/w-d-xo.html Please have a look!! 😊😊😊
There is no concrete history available about Chanakya's later days. He composed 'Arthashastra' which is available for us today to this day 🙂🙂🙂 How Chanakya died is told in Mudrarakshas, written close to 1000 yeasr after Chanakya's time.. so it's not a reliable source... But still, this is an important topic to cover! And we will plan to make a video about it 😃🙂
On the way!! 😃😃 Next coming up is History of Post-Mauryan Era (in a few weeks) - you will enjoy that as it is less known, yet equally interesting. After that we will be coming up with History of Gupta Era 🙂🙂
Sure sir, We are a crowdfunded studio and once we have enough budget, we will dub these into other languages 🙂🙂🙂. Meanwhile we are working on an entirely Hindi series on Astik Parva (from mahabharata). Plesae have a look! We hope you would love it 😊😊
Its not written of Seleucus offered his daughter or Chandragupta demanded her as a glorified wife hostage (like most princesses that time) but Seleucus was cunning enough to get benefit from even this. 😂 Chanakya disliked Yavanas and was vitriolic towards them.
The mention of Seleucus giving his daughter in marriage to an Indian king they called 'Sandrakottas' is found in Greek & Roman Historians and not in Indian texts. You are right! Seleucus did benefit greatly as he received massive advantage from the Indian elephants against his rivals in the west
@@Glimpses In Indian text Bhavishya Purana, it says that Chandragupta was born from Shakyasimha and he married a daughter of Yavana ruler of a city named Suluva and ruled with her till 60 years. It's possible he had more Yavana wives than we think.
Yess! We will definitely work on that someday. We are going chronologically and focusing largely on History of India that is not well known. 🙂🙂🙂 So we are soon coming up with History of Post-Mauryan Era and Sangam period first and then we will continue our journey through Indian History!!
