Thank you very much for taking the time to write. Welcome to the great wide world of weaving - and when you get your first drawloom, I hope you'll send me a pic!
Sophia, thank you very much for your comments. I am glad you found my little vid helpful. I hope you will check out some of my other offerings - my mission is to promote and de-mystify drawloom weaving for anybody who will listen. And frankly, I think my video-production quality has improved a lot since this first effort ;-)
It is funny to think that when I made that video I didn't think I would ever make another! I am glad it has stood up well - but I do think my production values have improved a lot since then ;-) Thank you as always for your kind comment.
Welcome to the wonderful world of weaving! An 8-shaft jack setup is a great loom for exploring structures and patterns - and who knows? Maybe a drawloom some day? I wish you many happy years of learning and beautiful projects.
I absolutely do not understnad any of tis, I'm currently in a longrunning argument with my small and simple rigid heddle. I hope one day I'll be able to figure this out! I want to get a bigger loom eventually.
Show that loom who's boss 🤣 I started on a rigid heddle loom myself - weaving is weaving and looms are not so different as you might think. As the wise weaver said - it's just threads going up and down! Thank you so much for watching.
What a fantastic video! I really appreciate the clear and comprehensive presentation, particularly as someone just dipping my toes into weaving 🌻🌻🌻

Thank you for introducing me to drawloom. I’m relatively new to weaving an 8 shaft ash ford jack loom.
